Rust free original metal, excellent original interior. Very
desirable Rally Sport with a 4-speed and factory gauges.
EXTERIOR: I believe it's an original uncut body. There's no splices
in the quarters, they are original. Bottom edges of the doors are
real clean. The fenders are clean metal. All the panels line up
perfectly square and flush. It is straight, no signs of rust or
damage. The doors click shut even with the windows rolled up. It is
repainted it's original Ash Gold color. It is very smooth and
glossy. The nose stripe is painted on. It is a real Rally Sport
with hidden headlights. They are vacuum and they are functional.
The bumpers, emblems and handles are all shiny. The stainless trim
around all the windows and on top of the doors is straight and
shiny like chrome. The windshield was replaced, the rest of the
glass is crystal clear. The vinyl top is like new. It has the
original rear mount antenna. Those are reproduction Wide Oval
Firestone tires on 14 inch rally wheels. The center caps and beauty
rings are mint. It has the correct small center caps for 1967 only.
The door jambs are clean as a whistle, the weather strips are
original and are a little bit brittle.
INTERIOR: This looks like a really well preserved, all original
interior. It is unabused. I'm very impressed as I look around. It
also has factory console with gauges. The carpet is excellent, it
is very possible that was replaced. I believe the upholstery is
original and it is mint. The door panels also appear to be original
and they are mint. The armrests are real nice. The dash area in
front of me is excellent. The dash pad, heater control panel,
vents, knobs, lenses are all excellent. Perfect deluxe wheel. The
kick panels are mint, the vent levers slide easily. It has the
original AM radio but there's a stereo hidden in the glove box. The
center console is in excellent shape. Original Muncie shifter with
chrome ball. It has it's complete set of original GM seat belts.
The headliner and visors are mint original, dome light works, the
mirror is crystal clear.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has the original VIN number match 327 motor
that has been upgraded with a new Edelbrock 4-barrel carb with
electric choke. Stock manifolds, valve covers and the original air
cleaner is included. It has original spring clamp battery cables.
The power steering has a new pump. New brake master cylinder. The
engine bay has never been spray canned. The original paint on the
firewall and inner fenders is very nice. It has the correct fan
shroud, original radiator cap, squirters are hooked up.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Very clean original, uncut metal. I don't see
any splices or patchwork. It's been neatly spatter painted. It has
a vintage tire on a black painted rim and original jack assembly.
There is a shop manual and some extra touch up paint. Nice trunk
mat. The paint under the trunk lid and the jamb is very nice,
weather strip is new.
UNDERSIDE: It has an unmolested underside that was maintained as
needed. The floors appear to be uncut original. Very solid metal,
even the lower inner quarters still have the factory drain plugs.
Brake hoses, upper ball joints, shocks have been replaced. In back
they are air shocks. Recent dual exhaust system with the crossover
pipe, welded joints and a transverse style muffler. The bottom of
the motor has been freshened up with Chevy orange. The fuel pump
looks new. The bellhousing is clean. It has it's original numbers
matching Saginaw 4-speed. In back it has it's original 3.08 10 bolt
posi.
Not too many 1st gen survivor Camaros left in existence. Especially
one as desirable as this- RS, 4-speed with gauges! This is a rare
opportunity.
