Vehicle Description
HIGHLIGHTS: Classic short bed Ford! Good black paint, clean
interior, 390 V8 and automatic transmission!
BODY OVERVIEW: The body on this F100 is very nice when considering
the age of the truck and the apparent lack of a true restoration.
This truck looks to have seen some kind of a facelift in the past,
but the body looks to be largely in original condition! Overall,
this is a very solid old truck, despite some bubbling on both
fenders.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: The paint still has a nice finish to it,
however it has certainly seen some miles and there is some normal
wear and imperfections to be found. For a truck that is going to be
used as a truck somewhat regularly, the paint is perfectly
presentable. It is what we would refer to as good driver paint,
though some would say that it has more of a patina look due to the
normal age and wear on it.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: Like the exterior, the interior hasn't
necessarily been restored, but has seen some repairs and upgrades
in the past. The bench seat was recently recovered, but the rest of
the interior is still in great shape from whenever it was last
done. Plus it has a tilt column!
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Under the hood, this truck is equipped with a
Ford 390V8.. The engine runs smoothly, and has a nice quiet rumble
to it. The 390 is hooked up to an automatic transmission, which
makes this truck perfect for light cruising or casual in-town
hauling. But wait, there's more! The brakes have been upgraded to
power Wilwood disc brakes at all four corners, with six piston
calipers up front and four piston calipers at the rear. This puppy
will STOP! Topped off with tasteful chrome 1990s Ford F-series
factory 15" wheels, this is exactly what a truck should be.
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The fact that it's still a truck!
Too often, classic trucks like this are being restored and upgraded
to the point that they are not functional or practical as a truck
anymore. This one is still true to the original style, and capable
of performing its original purpose.
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: This truck does not have air
conditioning, which can be a dealbreaker for some buyers.
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? The emergency brake is not currently
operational.
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? Anyone who grew up riding
around in old American pickups with minimal comfort options, or
anyone looking for a unique light duty truck!
