Vehicle Description
This 1973 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray represents an opportunity to
get custom style and power in one of the most disincentive and
desirable colors of the C3 era.
We love the factory-correct Elkhart Green paint. It was only
offered a couple of years on the Corvette, and it has a distinct
appearance that gives a nod to the speedy days at the now Road
America racetrack. And this one gets its full speedy style right.
The '73 cars debuted the new sleeker front end, and the respray of
this distinct green has a nice gloss to really show off the smooth
style. While this would be the year that took away some of the
chrome up front, it's not missed on this example. After all, the
upgraded 17-inch wheels and the bright side pipes in-between them
are the brightwork that people are going to remember on this custom
coupe.
The two-tone tan leather interior looks great against the green
paint. So you'll happily take out the T-tops and show off this
custom color. There are some nice premium features, like power
windows and an AM/FM/CD stereo w/aux input. But your favorite
upgrades are all about making this a better driver's coupe. The
form-hugging bucket seat design is borrowed from the later C3s.
There's a newer sports wheel on the tilt column, the Hurst shifter
is exactly where your right hand wants to be, and the gauges are
now crisp white-faced AutoMeter units.
Under the hood is a 383 cubic-inch V8. Those bright valve covers
are center bolt design, which tells us this is a later upgrade. It
inhales deeply with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales
with serious authority out of those side pipes. It also has quality
supporting pieces, like steel-braided lines w/AN fittings, an
electric fan, and Scott Performance plug wires. The
numbers-matching four-speed manual transmission keeps you in charge
of the powerband and the rumbling symphony coming out of the pipes.
It's easy to keep all this horsepower corralled with great driving
features such as the fully independent suspension, power steering,
four-wheel power disc brakes, and modern/grippy ZR-rated tires at
each corner.
A desirable color combo meets all the best speedy-style upgrades to
make for a unique and distinct Stingray. So if you like them fast,
bold, and memorable, you know this is your classic. Call now!
