This 1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer received a recent professional,
no-expense-spared, frame-off restoration by renowned builder
Creative Rods & Restoration. Awarded Chevy Truck Pick at Goodguys
Nashville Nationals May 2021. Powered by a 350ci V8 block, rebuilt
0.30 over and upgraded with electronic fuel injection, a COMP cam,
Edelbrock intake, AFR aluminum heads and a March serpentine system.
The engine is mated to a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission. This
K5 also features power steering, Vintage Air and power front disc
brakes with a Wilwood master cylinder. It has a 2.5-inch Rough
Country lift, WARN hubs and rides on Method wheels color-matched to
vehicle wrapped in 34-inch BFGoodrich KO2 All Terrain T/A tires.
Other notable features include Fox 2.0 shocks with reservoirs, an
aluminum radiator and Doug Thorley headers. The exterior is
finished with BASF Glasurit dark gray metallic paint. The smoothed
firewall is custom-fabricated, the bumpers and grille are finished
in a slightly lighter than body color gray satin finish for a nice
contrast, and it has a cowl hood. The custom TMI Products interior
features bucket seats, a Flaming River tilt steering column with a
Billet Specialties banjo steering wheel, Daytona weave carpet and
Classic Instruments gauges. Billet highlights throughout, including
rear light surrounds, side markers, side mirrors, hood hinges,
window cranks, pedal set and Eddie Motorsports door handles. The
inside and under-body are coated with textured paint protection,
and the floor and doors are lined with Dynamat sound-deadening
material. It also has a completely restored fiberglass top.
