Vehicle Description
This half-ton pickup is fully custom with all handmade body lines,
shaved door handles and sideways-tilting hood, and the front end is
fabricated by hand and welded to the cab like a true custom. The
long bed was converted to a short bed by removing 9 inches from the
front and 14 inches off the back, while 7 inches were added to the
bottom of the fenders. Further modifications include a 1949 Ford
grille with a rechromed hubcap for the center. Additional body
modifications include flush-mounted taillights, which double as
parking lights and turn signals, and a Brazilian cherry wood bed.
The engine compartment has a new 383ci V8 stroker engine with 430hp
mated to a 700R4 automatic transmission. It is also equipped with
Wilwood disc brakes and a narrowed WS6 Trans Am rear end. It rides
on Chris Coddington Hot Rods by Boyd wheels with Nitto tires. The
hand-fabricated truck is finished top to bottom in custom MI paint
by Matrix over an all-Italian leather interior. Awards include
World of Wheels Chicago 2016, Best Display, Best Truck and First
Place; Top 20 Syracuse Nationals 2016, Nomination for Designer
Dozen; Street Rodder Top 10 and Street Rodder Top 100 in the
Nation. Approximately 200 miles since restoration.
