1984 Mercedes 300 TD turbo diesel wagon. Very solid and presentable
daily driver condition. Not claiming it's a show car, come see it,
minor rust here and there, solid floor pans/unibody. Worst rust is
drivers side rear jack point. I cut out the worst of it and oil
undercoated to keep if from spreading. To this point, it is NOT a
rusty car, I can show you a rusty one for comparison. Car is
mechanically sound, very strong OM617 TD engine. Non-intercooled,
all mechanical diesel. 4 speed auto transmission is flawless,
shifts are crisp and at the correct RPMs. Auto leveling rear
suspension still works. Radio works well, replaced with Pioneer
tape deck some years ago. All 4 speakers work. Paint cleans up
nicely, rear word the car needs to be buffed but my machine was too
big. The rear hatch has some chips that have spread but are fine
surface rust only. HVAC works for heat, AC compressor is locked up
and belt is removed. A great base for full restoration or drive as
is. It's priced fairly for what these cars are doing in survivor or
restored condition. Very solid find for new england. In the last
2500 miles new: rear brake calipers, rear brake pads, rear brake
rubber hoses, oil change (rotella), new HVAC monovalve core, all 4
tires, brake master cylinder. Also has and are working: power
windows/mirrors, rear defrost, rear wiper, inboard euro fog lights.
