LRA is proud to offer this first-year Harley Davidson Heritage
Softail Springer. This example features incredibly low miles, with
just 3140 miles on the odometer. Included with the bike are the
original windshield, luggage rack, passenger seat, and backrest,
along with the original tires, user manual, and VHS tape. In 1997,
Harley Davidson released the Heritage Springer to replace the
Heritage Softail. The Heritage Springer was a time hop to
yesteryear, back to HDs golden age of cycling. The Springer front
end is inspired by the original 1948 Panhead, whose suspension
technology lasted until the late 80s. The front suspension design
is renowned for its comfortable ride and smoothness over bumps.
Whispers of the past can be seen all over the bike, most notably
the front 16 inch wheel, wide whitewall tires, and period
accessories. The motor is a throwback as well, as the Evo 1340cc
(80ci) shares a lot of specs with the motors of yesteryear, but
every part is new. Harley Davidson put thought into the design cues
and even hid the suspension of the Softail to make it seem like a
hardtail, like earlier designs. The retro touches continue with
fishtail exhaust, floating front fender, front mounted horn, and
tombstone license plate holder tail light. Call or email with any
