Vehicle Description
Imagine the exhilarating feeling that can only come from climbing
behind the wheel of one of the most powerful American production
cars on the road. This 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Supercharged Z51 can
provide exactly that. Having logged only a touch over 35K miles
it's relatively low-travelled for a sports car this fun to drive,
and by every measure it's an absolute scorcher - offering
adrenaline-inducing acceleration and handling that puts it in very
select company. With a built 6.2L Supercharged V8 full of a host of
upgrades, the drivetrain is capable of 775HP and break-neck
responsiveness on road and track alike, paring with the modern
marvels of a floppy-paddle 8-speed automatic transmission and
Magnetic Ride Control via the Z51 package. Clean as can be with
enough power for two sports cars, this C7 Stingray represents one
of the best 'bang-for-your-buck' vehicles you'll ever come across,
so read fast before anyone else gets wise.
The notion that you're casting eyes on a very special car will
appear right away - even in the exalted company of modern Corvettes
this one will readily stand out, and you'll want to immediately
take a closer look at this stunner to fully appreciate the showroom
condition that it's in. Its Daytona Sunrise Orange Metallic
exterior is a bit of a mouthful to say, and even more sensory
arousing once you see it dance with the lights in our showroom.
Even 5 years later the design seems futuristic, with homage-setting
Mako Shark concepts seen throughout, working hard to shed its
former image as the 'old man's toy'. The C7 worked to appeal to a
younger crowd with features like the carbon fiber hood and
Transformer's style scoop, an aggressive chin spoiler and matching
ground effects, a removeable roof panel, dynamic fenders and
quarters made from composite materials, and the uber-aggressive
rear end with Z51 spoiler and quad exhaust pipes. Everywhere you
look you can see that this Stingray was sculpted inside a wind
tunnel, with all kinds of interesting angles, inductions, and
grooves that accentuate the insanely exciting lines of this
gorgeous beast. That distinctive bright orange paint is still
looking its best and black carbon fiber accents provide just the
right amount of contrast, punctuated by the oversized chrome
wheels. Its removeable black-tinted top is a nod to its
third-generation predecessors, the first of the model to emerge
from the assembly line in this configuration, instantly
transforming the car into a completely different car. It's a
feature that's proven immensely popular over the years, offering
all the exhilaration of open-air motoring with the shelter of the
snug fitting top just a couple of steps away.
The black leather interior waiting inside the doors is about as
clean as interiors come - this Vette's light usage and single owner
has definitely paid some dividends here. This is an unusually
comfortable driving environment for any car, let alone one that
offers the world class performance that this C7 does. The steering
column both tilts and telescopes and the ultra-clean and
distinctive leather buckets glide smoothly into place to provide
just the right comfortable driving position and there's a
surprising amount of shoulder room inside - far more than many of
the Vette's exotic competitors. The air conditioning is working at
full force for maximum comfort and the featured navigation system
will point you exactly to where you're going - and no doubt you'll
be able to get there at warp speed. There'll certainly be no
shortage of audio options, either - the AM/FM/DVD stereo also
features satellite and Bluetooth connectivity, along with a back-up
camera that runs through the same media center. A host of digital
gauges keeps an eye on the motor and all of its upgrades, and the
center console houses the shifter for the 8-speed automatic
transmission which can also be managed via the paddle-shifters
behind the steering wheel. And as you might expect, everything
inside is incredibly clean and barely shows any use, including the
storage area under the lift-up hatch out back.
Chevy has gone to great lengths over the decades to arm its
Corvettes with world class powerplants, but the upgrades made by
the pros at MTI Racing is extensive, lifting the 6.2L Supercharged
V8 motor to heights even the Z06 can't reach. That big supercharger
is an A&A system capable of 775HP, and although we don't have
the space to list the myriad of MTI upgrades, the highlights
include a C7 Supercharged head/cam package, ported heads, a custom
billet camshaft kit, LS7 lifters, and a custom engine program and
tune just to name a few. In fact, when you have a spare 15 minutes,
give us a call and we'll be happy to go down the laundry list of
features, although you might need an engineering degree to fully
understand it all the GO-FAST-GOODIES inside. Equipped with
oversized power 4-wheel disc brakes, responsive power steering, and
the aforementioned Magnetic Ride Control and Z51 package, the car
stops on a dime and hits the corners better than any Corvette
before it. It's downright biblical, and only the mid-engine C8 can
rival it. Chrome wheels - 19" in front and 20" in back and wrapped
with Michelin tires - finish this extraordinary car off in just the
right fashion.
True super car performance is hard to come by and certainly far
harder without paying a king's ransom, and yet that's what this
upgraded 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Supercharged Z51 offers. Call
