Vehicle Description
Get a good look, everyone, because this is currently the nastiest,
fastest, most brutal modern Mustang you can own today. This
1-owner, special-ordered 2018 Ford Mustang Shelby Super Snake
boasts $132K+ worth of upgrades on what was already a very fast
car, all wrapped in the most brutal Shadow Black wrapper we've ever
seen. The laundry list of Shelby Performance upgrades on this
low-mile beauty make it a genuine 1-of-1 piece, putting it a notch
above your garden variety GT500 loaded with SVT bolt-ons. As
ferocious as a muscle car gets with 800+ horsepower at the ready,
ask yourself if you've actually got the stones before you pick up
the phone and call - because this Super Snake was built for a very
special breed.
Unlike the GT500 on which it's based, this Super Snake eschews
stripes and brightly colored flash for a more sinister, devious
look. The upgrades to the bodywork are plentiful, including a
purpose-built Shelby front fascia punctuated by an aggressive chin
splitter, a blacked-out Shelby grille, a fully functional Shelby
dual intake ram-air hood, carbon-fiber capped mirrors, and Shelby
rocker panels at the low flanks. Out back, the party continues with
slick rear spoiler, beefy diffuser with gaping exhaust pipes, and a
slick tailpanel embossed with 'Shelby' script that lets every
challenger know exactly what just flew by. There's no mistaking the
6th gen Mustang shape, but in this car's case, it's
steroid-injected and powered up to 11. It's just beautifully built,
as it had better be with that sticker price, and with only 2544
original miles, it remains in virtually factory-fresh condition.
Shadow Black paint is the perfect choice for a car this violent on
the eyes, and the miles-deep paint has been uniquely augmented with
a set of Dark Blue Pearl racing 'Ghost' stripes that shoot down the
center of the body and only become obvious in the right light. Add
in the optional Super Snake lower door graphics and those iconic
Super Snake emblems on the fenders and you've got an electrifying
package of pure awesomeness. It's obviously been painstakingly
maintained since it was taken to Shelby headquarters thanks to the
aid from PPF which covers the entire car (windshield is also
filmed), and all the special top-flight Shelby add-ons the original
owner selected make it distinctive, even in a land of
high-visibility Mustangs. It's never been wrecked, obviously, and
if you've been sitting on the sidelines waiting for the next big
thing, well, it's about to pass you going 180MPH.
In keeping with the 'murdered-out' theme (it's what people much
cooler than you and I have dubbed the blacked-out treatment on a
car), the black leather interior is also beautifully finished and
nicely upgraded. Again, you won't find any SVT logos inside (a
point of contention of the man that ordered this car - he wanted
Shelby Performance parts only), just pure Super Snake greatness
everywhere you look. The custom two-tone leather interior upgrade
was selected on the options list, featuring beautifully stitched
seats with soft inserts and special Super Snake embroidery work, a
grippy leather steering wheel, plush carpets protected with Super
Snake floor mats, and a carbon-fiber accented sporty dash. There's
a big Super Snake 8-ball knob for the 6-speed manual transmission
and the special Super Snake-spec digital gauges are joined by a
trio of auxiliary dials neatly arranged on top of the center of the
dash, just above a couple extra dials wedged between the center A/C
vents. A touchscreen navigation system/back-up camera and
AM/FM/CD/iPod stereo lives in the center of the dash above the
fighter-jet style switchboard, and just about every feature you can
imagine is standard equipment, ranging from A/C, to power
everything, and enough airbags to rival a minivan. Illuminated sill
plates and a Shelby CSM number dash plaque put an exclamation point
on things, and much like the rest of the car, everything inside is
showroom fresh.
The list of upgrades to the 5.0L V8 Coyote engine is extensive,
long enough to add around another 100 ponies to the car's already
astounding horsepower rating, for a total of approximately 800.
Most of that comes from the Shelby Supercharger Package that boasts
a big polished Whipple Supercharger, high-performance injectors,
and a performance intake with an oversized intake tube, and billet
throttle body. Of course, it also comes with an upgraded
intercooler, bigger cams, special Shelby tuning, and other tricks.
There are race-grade components throughout, including the Shelby
Extreme Cooling System that sports trick aluminum coolant tanks and
a giant radiator. Other upgrades include a beefier clutch, upgraded
Brembo brakes, and custom suspension pieces via the Shelby Track
Handling package that make this Snake road and track ready alike.
Performance is other-worldly, because if you see a hole in traffic
you can be there almost instantly, and there are surely few other
cars on the planet that can match this car on the roll. Full boost
is there before you can get your foot on the floor, but you need to
be at the top of your game to get the most out of it. If you're a
poser, you're going to get hurt, but learn to dance with it and the
Super Snake will reward you with performance that'll tear your face
off. A Shelby-tuned, variable dual exhaust consists of Borla's
finest components and the whole show is capped off by a set of
20-inch forged aluminum black wheels carrying 275/35/20 front and
305/30/20 rear Michelin Pilot Sport performance radials.
Documented with loads of Shelby paperwork, maintenance records,
factory buildsheet, window sticker, and original manuals, this is
investment-grade Shelby is at the very top of the food chain. It
even comes with a 75K mile warranty through June 2028. Call
