1969 Chevelle 454 4 Speed!!!
Recently purchased by us for our inventory this is a beautifully
restored 69 Chevelle sporting a 71 Code Lemans blue tag code and a
755-trim color of black. This Chevelle has been fully restored from
the ground up an it has been nicely done. In the receipts we
received the only clue as to what the car may have been originally
is a handwritten note that says "396 had no oil pressure eat up
everything". No harm no foul let's build a 454 for in there and top
it with Promaxx Performance Heads and a Holly 4-barrel and let's
make some horsepower. Backed by a 4-speed trans and complimented by
an aluminum radiator and power steering and power front disc brakes
this is one nice performing 69 Chevelle!!!
The 13637 vin tells us this was indeed born as a V8 car and that is
indeed a sport coupe- nice combination. Is it a real SS? We will
leave that to all the Chevelle experts out there- the car is nice
enough that we really didn't care....
We have a pile of receipts and best we can tell the Chevelle was
ground up restored about 10 years ago. It sure is holding up
nicely. The body is super straight and the paint well applied and
with a great depth. Is there an occasional blemish- sure, it was
done years ago but you won't find anything disturbing or major in
the finish. The metal all looks great with no patch work visible at
all. Check out the pictures of the floors from underneath and note
how straight they are and that they are body color....
The engine compartment is neat and clean. The chrome is all nice
and befitting the quality of the car. The interior sports a pair of
high back custom bucket seats that are nice and comfortable. The
console surrounding the 4-speed is a nice accessory and there is an
auxiliary oil pressure and temperature gauge under the dash. The
interior is quite tidy.
We have 225/45/18's up front and 275/40/20's in the rear mounted on
a very nice chrome wheel. It's a good look. This car is done to a
very nice driver level and would be comfortable at most any show.
Most folks would be proud to drive and show and enjoy this nice old
Chevelle.
Drive it, show it, keep it in a bubble and polish it as a prized
possession, the choice is yours once you make it yours.
