Vehicle Description
When a classic car has been meticulously restored so that every
detail is about custom speed and showmanship, it rarely leaves its
creator's hands. But this 1963 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova restomod is
up for grabs right now, and it has it all. This means a
fuel-injected V8, competition-ready suspension, overdrive
transmission, a custom A/C interior, and a vibrant two-tone that
makes the whole car memorable for far more than just its growl.
Novas are great cars to start with as a custom build because they
have well-creased lines that make this lightweight car look as
substantial as the larger Chevys. And the custom color theme really
drives that feeling home here. The silver paint has a terrific glow
that helps draw added attention to the full-length crease and the
sporty flared fenders. The metallic gray upper section brings added
gravity to the formal roofline in this tasteful two-tone. The red
stripe separating the colors runs along the natural line created by
the fender top, and the nearly unbroken look of this bold border
also shows off the straightness of the panels. Plus, with all the
custom touches like the LS1 badging, blackout grille, and large
18-inch Vision wheels, this coupe announces it's something special
the moment it arrives on the scene.
Just like the exterior, the interior is fresh, premium, and does a
terrific job of mixing vintage and custom. The low-back bucket
seats, a bright SS center console in-between, fresh carpeting, a
taut headliner, smooth dash, and so many more fundamentals give
this the feeling of quality. This has the right comfort upgrades,
like a retro-style AM/FM digital tuner, tinted windows, and cold
R134a air conditioning. You'll slip behind the chrome sports
steering wheel that's mounted on a tilt column. And the aggressive
red glow of the upgraded digital gauges really lets you know
there's something fun under the hood.
That might be a modern 5.7-liter LS1 V8 under the hood, but it
looks perfect in this classic. After all, smooth color-matched
inner walls and custom color-matched intake remind you this is a
thoughtful build. And the tidy setup of wires and components always
looks good on an award-worthy classic. More than just look
terrific, there were plenty of investments in power and
consistency. The V8 inhales deeply with a Weiand Air Ram intake,
and it exhales with added power as headers feed the dual exhaust.
Plus, it's supported by the right pieces, like a large aluminum
radiator, electric fans, Billet Specialties brackets, and the
battery in the trunk for better weight distribution. The motor
fires up eagerly with a nice rumble, and any time you really want
to bring the thunder, there's a key fob that lets you open the
electronic cutouts. The 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission was
rebuilt to ensure it continues to offer crisp downshifts for power
and an overdrive gear for highway cruising. It feeds a strong Ford
9-inch limited-slip rear. The suspension was upgraded to let you
make the most of this power. It includes a CPP tubular A-arm
independent front suspension, traction bars on the rear, sway bars
at both ends, rack & pinion power steering, modern sport tires, and
four-wheel power disc brakes.
This full custom Nova has the perfect recipe for everything from
enjoying the long haul on the Power Tour to winning major awards.
