Vehicle Description
1965 Corvette Coupe -327/350HP -57,454 actual Miles -4 speed
-Nassau Blue
This '65 'Vette has an interesting history with the prior two
owners. The current owner purchased it 16 years ago from the Owner
in Montana who discovered it as a "barn find" after 20 years of
storage. The strengths of this Corvette include the matching
numbers 327/350 HP L79 engine and drive train; a solid frame with
no deterioration from winter driving or snow exposure and very
little moisture; Nassau Blue (original paint-code match -the most
popular color sold in 1965), and the installed additional 2nd
engine 355 CID (approximately 425 HP) installed to preserve the
low-mileage original block, included with the sale. This 1965
Corvette is a "turn the key and enjoy" example. Our seller recently
entered an all Corvette Show and received a 2nd place trophy in
it's class. Please see the write up below that was provided by our
seller:
"I am the 3rd owner to this beautiful car. I bought it August 2005
from Missoula Montana.
The interior was new in 2002/3, ( this was a barn find car in 1999
from a ranch in Lolo Pass Montana) the car was repainted in July
2005.
This is my sunny day car, it has only seen rain 2 times since I
have owned it and that was on the Woodward cruise both times.
This is a numbers matching L79 engine (which ran strong when
removed), transmission, and 3.55 position rear end. The car is all
muscle, no power steering or brakes. The car drives and steers
nice, easy without power steering.
The options include tinted windows, original AM FM radio, 4 wheel
disc brakes, tinted glass ( all original ), T3 headlights with
original bright lights The L79 intake, carburetor and alternator
are on the current engine in the car 355 cu. in. Engine. New in
2007.
Included in the sale of the car are: car cover, 1965 corvette
manuals, spare tire carrier and tire with hardware ( I had to take
this off when installing Magna Flow mufflers). Montana Title and
license plate.
I really enjoyed driving this car.
