This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro is all about taking one of the most
aggressive '60s designs and adding ultra-slick paint, a custom A/C
interior, four-wheel disc brakes, six-speed stick, a modern LS3 V8,
and so much more. So yes, this is the ultimate restomod muscle
machine with all the best upgrades.
This coupe knows how to respect its history, but there are also
zero worries that anyone will look at this coupe and think it's
bone stock. For example, the paint holds close to 1968's Grotto
Blue, but the factory never gave you this kind of metallic or deep
shine. The investment in plenty of modern clearcoat applied by a
very professional hand has a mirror-like effect that highlights all
the best curves. We're even told that this one was given all-new
sheet metal. It all drivers home the feeling that expense took a
back seat to style and power during this car's full restoration.
Only the best chrome around can keep up with this kind of shine,
and you'll love the bumpers and trim, too. Even the crystal clear
headlights shine like jewelry. But this one also has a dark side.
The blackout grille, chin spoiler, and rear panel go with the
darker pieces, like the tinted windows and 18-inch US Mags wheels
for plenty of intimidation. It adds to the sporty style established
by iconic Camaro pieces, like the full-width spoiler and cowl
hood.
Open the door to a full custom interior that has a terrifically
dark performance attitude. And with only about 1,700 miles on this
build, it all feels exceptionally fresh. The Recaro name on those
leather bucket seats lets you instantly know they have all the
right modern bolstering to keep you planted on twisty roads while
also being all-day comfortable. Custom door panels, a soft dash
pad, a full custom trunk, and a suede-like headliner deliver a
modern feeling of comfort. It even feels like a modern car with a
center console that has a tall armrest, cup holders, power window
switches, and air conditioning controls. The radio is now even an
AM/FM/CD/DVD/iPod Sony touchscreen, and it connects to a full
subwoofer stereo system. You'll slip behind the grippy Momo sports
steering wheel on a tilt column. Beyond that is a custom carbon
fiber gauge panel with a full readout package, including a large
AutoMeter Cobalt speedo and tach. All of this gives your senses the
tingle of performance even before you twist the key and hear this
one roar.
You'll love popping the hood at car shows and showing off the
top-notch transplant of a modern Camaro motor. The fuel-injected
6.2-liter LS3 V8 is a very cool powerplant to have. After all, they
were part of the Camaro's latest revival, and they are good for
well over 400 horsepower right out of the box. This was installed
in 2016, but they did it with the level of quality that will make
you swear the factory did it. In fact, with the smooth inner walls,
bright Billet Specialties valve covers, and overall tidy setup, we
wouldn't be surprised if you won awards for the engine bay alone.
But more than just look terrific, this was built with the right
performance pieces, like a Spectre cold air intake, 821 aluminum
heads, and headers feeding the Flowmaster dual exhaust. Best of all
you have superior control over this big power V8 and its thunderous
soundtrack thanks to the six-speed manual transmission. It feeds a
strong Moser 9-inch rear. And more than just power, this restomod
has all the right upgrades to be a great driver. It includes a
Ridetech front suspension, a four-link rear w/coilovers, Ridetech
Truturn power steering, and Wilwood four-wheel power disc
brakes.
Complete with build receipts, this is the restomod that has
stunning looks, a comfy interior, big power, and an overall solid
feeling on the road. So if you're looking for an award-worthy
Camaro that loves to be enjoyed, you can't miss this custom. Call
