Vehicle Description
A triple-black 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle is always going to have a
big appeal, but you can see from the stance that this one earns its
mean attitude for more than just its paint. With an upgraded
suspension, super-strong frame, four-wheel disc brakes, and modern
LS3 V8 power, this is a true restomod muscle machine. And you get
to enjoy it all from the comfort of an A/C interior.
This Chevelle has a mean look that starts with the paint. After
all, the upgrade to black later in life certainly gave this an
instant upgrade in attitude. It has a premium luster that makes
this muscle car as appealing as a grand piano. And a well-fitting
vinyl roof is a great way to add a premium distinction to this dark
side. Plus, this has the right upgrade in Super Sport style, like
dual power dome hood, SS badging, and a distinct D96 sports stripe
painted in white. And we absolutely love the stance that comes from
the Coys wheels with 18/20 inch front/rear stagger. It really tells
this world this is an upgraded restomod.
The dark attitude inside combines with the paint and the roof to
give you an ultra-desirable triple-black presentation. It's an
overall nice presentation, so you'll happily bring along family and
friends. There's even an upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo w/USB and
Bluetooth for modern entertainment. But no matter how many people
come along for the ride, the driver is always king. In fact, you
have the rear power windows feature, and that means you never have
to leave the driver's seat to take down all the windows on this
pillarless hardtop. And you have modern R134a air conditioning to
blow cool when you need more of a breeze. The classic Chevy sports
steering wheel is on a tilt column, and so that means you get a
clear view to the fully upgraded digital gauges.
The callouts on the outside keep the classic 396 designation,
what's under the hood is a potent piece of far more modern
machinery. This is an LS3 motor, and the 6.2-liter fuel-injected V8
is said to have only about 2k miles on it. The full package was
installed with care so that the smooth black intake goes with the
smooth black inner fenders to make this modern juggernaut look like
it had always belonged in this classic. The 4L80E four-speed
automatic was built to pair with this motor. So you have a stout
setup that also can easily shift into overdrive comfort. The full
package was beefed up, and so as you look at the undercharge
photos, you'll see tubular front control arms, a sturdy four-link
rear, adjustable coilovers behind each wheel, and sway bars front
and rear. Plus, it's all mounted on a strong Art Morrison frame.
You also have power steering, grippy modern ZR-rated tires, and
Hydroboost power brakes with Corvette four-wheel discs.
This is an awesome build that gives you serious power, enviable
poise, and an all-around great driving spirit. So you know you
don't want this Chevelle SS restomod to end up in someone else's
garage. Call today!!!
