This 1931 Chevrolet Phaeton has that ideal look of a cool classic
that captures the jazz age. With a vibrant two-tone, terrific
details, and a sporty roofline, this is a rarity that knows how to
turn heads.
The phaeton body style has a thin roofline opening up the car even
with the top in place. That gives this American classic a very
European feel. And there's added distinction with the paint. It has
the dark kind of colors that's popular with this era, but the theme
is far from drab. It's a two-tone purple and gray. They both
unleash a great metallic glow when the sunshine hits them. So this
classic always looks distinctive no matter how you choose to drive
it. Plus, there's just something special about having a Chevrolet.
The phaeton body was a rarity from Ford during this era, but there
were less than 900 believed to be produced by Chevy in 1931. So
just imagine how many remain 90 years later! And this one has not
only survived, but it has also thrived. That's why you have great
details like bright chrome bumpers, a mesh grille cover, wire
wheels, whitewall tires, dual spare wheels in the fenders, and the
eagle hood ornament leading the way.
The tan interior looks great against the dark exterior. And it's
done in durable and supple leather. So it is quite inviting in the
two spacious rows of seating. It has all the best classic car
feelings with the large three-spoke steering wheel, tall shifter,
and essential gauges. There are even a few nicely integrated
upgrades, like front seatbelts and turn signals.
Chevrolet's now-famous "Stovebolt" six was new on the scene, and it
was a hit at providing six cylinders when most of the mainstreams
were only offering four. It was a smooth-running 194 cubic-inch
motor when new, and this 1931-correct block has been well
maintained to keep that tradition going. This includes a new valve
job, a cleaned fuel tank, a new electric fuel pump, and a new
battery. The three-speed manual transmission puts you in control of
a true classic that feels truly nostalgic going down the road.
Rarity, style, and open-top fun all come together on this sharp
Chevy phaeton. So if you love the best kind of attention when
you're out for a drive, you need to call today!
