Vehicle Description
This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro is a true restomod with a fuel-injected
LS1 motor, six-speed stick, fully upgraded suspension, four-wheel
disc brakes, a custom/comfy interior, and more.
A restomod is all about taking the classic style and giving it
modern flair, and that's exactly what the exterior shows. You have
some of the best performance pieces of the first-gen Camaro like
the cowl hood, full chin spoiler, and D80 rear spoiler. But while
the original '67s were chrome kings, this one has positively gone
over to the dark side. The grille, side mirrors, door handles,
taillight trim, and rear bumper are all done in black. The window
trim even has a cool carbon fiber texture. The only pieces of
brightwork you'll see are the trim rings around the upgraded
wheels...and even those Ridler alloys are black, too! They deleted
the front bumper, shaved the logos, and rendered this in a slick
shade of blue. It all makes for a coupe that is absolutely a
restomod.
The interior really drives home the restomod feeling, too, as it
expertly blends vintage and new. The classic door panels now have
carbon fiber texture on the tops and new billet handles. There's
also plenty of carbon fiber trim across the dash. The front seats
keep that classic low-back look that goes great with the hardtop
profile, but now they are modern ProCar units that offer terrific
bolstering. The center console is a custom unit with an AM/FM
touchscreen infotainment system that has Bluetooth. And you'll love
all the driver-oriented upgrades. This includes the Billet
Specialties steering wheel, upgraded gauges with large speedo and
tach, and the pistol grip shifter.
You'll love popping the hood at all the car shows. The smooth and
dark inner walls funnel all your attention to the bold blue heart
in the middle. In fact, the color matching on the motor may just
win you awards all on its own. More than just look great, you'll
love how this package has been fully upgraded. The base is a modern
5.7-liter LS1 V8. It's upgraded with an MSD Atomic fuel injection
system, a cold air intake, headers, and a large Griffin aluminum
radiator. This has the right upgraded power, and so it also has the
right tools to enjoy it to the fullest. The six-speed manual
transmission gives you plenty of gears for powerful downshifts as
well as easy cruising. It feeds a stout 12-bolt rear before going
to the wide ZR-rated tires that put serious rubber on the pavement.
As you look at the undercarriage, you see upgraded subframes that
include RideTech StrongArm up front, a four-link rear, adjustable
coilovers all-around. Plus, you have power steering and four-wheel
power disc brakes. So this restomod has both upgraded power and
control.
