truck sales had become entrenched. This example looks like it just
rolled of the assembly line. If you?re looking for a winner, you
are looking for this F-250. Made at Ford?s Claycomo, Missouri
factory in January 1992, this example is finished in Oxford White
with Scarlet trim. The paint and trim are in overall very good
order. The truck?s body is straight and solid. The engine bay is
very tidy and the chrome bumpers look great as well as fitting
tightly to the body. The rear one is a Bundy Bumper from Judd and
Judd in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This truck rolls on Advanta light truck
tires, size 285/75R16 at every corner. Each tire is mounted on an
eight-bolt alloy wheel. The wheels are in good, original order
while the tires are in very good condition. This truck has a
155-inch wheelbase and a 8,800-pound GVWR. Under the hood is Ford?s
5.8L Windsor V-8 engine, backed by a four-speed automatic
transmission (code 4R100) and a two-speed transfer case. There is a
Dana 50 Twin Traction Beam front axle and a Sterling 10.25-inch
straight axle at the rear with 4.10:1 gearing. Inside, the Scarlet
Red cloth split-bench seats look great, including the fold-up jump
seat, as are the matching carpet and headliner. A two-spoke
steering wheel looks great, as does the dashboard and inner door
liners. The dash has a full array of ancillary gauges. A
column-mounted shift lever and a factory AM/FM stereo with a
cassette deck completes the interior. XLT variants came with Custom
and XL trim items plus: black body rub strip, chrome grille,
deep-dish aluminum wheels, carpeted map pockets, an AM/FM stereo
with digital clock and two speakers, and a cloth and vinyl bench
seat. The final generation of the F-Series to include a complete
range of trucks from a half-ton F-150 pickup truck to a medium-duty
F-800 commercial truck, this is the third generation of the
F-Series body and chassis introduced for 1980. To improve the
aerodynamics of the exterior, the front fascia underwent a
substantial revision to its design. In the interest of
aerodynamics, the lines of the hood, front fenders, and grille were
rounded off for 1992. Along with the larger grille, the headlights
were enlarged (with the turn signals again moving below). Inside,
the interior was updated with a redesigned dashboard along with new
seats. Extended-cab (SuperCab) models received larger rear side
windows. Competition to this F-250 in 1992 included Chevrolet?s
K2500, Dodge?s W-250 Club Cab and GMC?s Sierra 2500. Documentation
includes original owner?s manual, original warranty book, original
emergency spare key and more. Ford truck fans or anyone who seeks a
