Vehicle Description
This 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible is a cool restomod with modern
vibrant paint, a loaded A/C interior, four-wheel disc brakes,
four-on-the-floor, a freshly rebuilt V8, and much more. So when you
want a classic that's both an instantly recognizable icon and
absolutely distinct, you know you need to get to know this custom
pony.
The Orange Crush paint instantly announces this one is something
special. And with only about 650 miles on the full build, this
color is both fresh and vibrant. It helps kick off a package that's
pure custom cool with the full-length pinstriping, deleted badging,
shaved door handles, and color-matched bumpers. Other parts are
there to enhance the sporty look with a Shelby-style billet grille,
hood pins, a hood scoop, GT-style dual exhaust, and 17-inch
American Racing Torq Thrust wheels. And Mustang lovers will also
recognize the side scoops, integrated spoiler, and taillights
inspired by the California Special.
The light tan roof has a cool look against the paint... it's almost
like you're adding cream to your orange. And if you like the way
this looks, then with a flip of a switch, you'll love to power the
top down to reveal the full tan and orange interior. Just like the
exterior, the low mileage means a fresh presentation. The plush
carpeting, smooth dash, and custom door panels all look great. But
we really love the upholstery. There's some great vintage
distinction with the premium "Pony" package seats. And you'll
notice that this has the rarely-seen front bench that still has a
fold-down armrest for bucket-like comfort on demand. There are
great modern upgrades in this restomod like an AM/FM tuner w/CD
changer and cold-blowing air conditioning. Plus, you'll love the
driver-oriented upgrades, like the sports steering wheel on a tilt
column, Hurst shifter, and full digital gauges.
The engine bay has a thoughtful setup with smooth black inner
fenders that really let the orange firewall and Monte Carl bar pop.
At the heart is a freshly rebuilt 302 cubic-inch V8. It has a full
Edelbrock upgraded suite with the four-barrel carburetor, Performer
intake, air grabber, and finned valve covers. There's also an MSD
distributor, upgraded pulleys, and headers feeding a rumbling dual
exhaust. You take proper control over this powerhouse with the
four-speed manual transmission. As you look underneath, the full
fresh presentation extends to the bushings, and so you have extra
confidence on the road. And four-wheel power brakes and modern
sport tires add to this poised feeling.
The sale comes complete with build receipts and restoration photos.
