This 1979 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 has a sweet-looking paint package,
an A/C interior, and proper V8 power. It means this car offers a
solid full package for a pretty nice price.
The deeper we get into the 1970s, the cooler the Camaro got. So
it's kind of hard to find one better than a '79... but they turned
it up a notch here. The factory-correct white paint was given a
quality refresh later in life to remain vibrant. And the clean
white look makes for a great way to showcase the stripe package.
The two-tone orange and red have a retro-cool look that ascends
into modern appeal with how crisp it looks. It zooms up the rockers
and even loops under to show off the deep front air dam. These
two-tone stripes also highlight the hood scoop and full-width rear
spoiler to show off some of the coupe's best pieces. Plus, the
blackout grille, headlight bezels, and inner hood scoop put an
aggressive face forward. And while these later 2nd-gen Z-cars
didn't have brightwork, they added it here with an iconic set of
Cragar SS wheels.
The red interior goes with the exterior stripes and has a bold look
all on its own. It's a very stock and clean style, but there are
also the right well-placed upgrades. The radio is an AM/FM digital
tuner w/cassette, and the factory air conditioning is now blowing
cold with modern R134a refrigerant. This is set up to be a great
driver's coupe with high-back bucket seats, a center console
in-between, a sports steering wheel with corded grip, and a tilt
steering column. And we love this generation Camaro for the gauge
package that feels like it wraps around the driver.
Under the hood is a 350 cubic-inch V8. It inhales deeply with a
Quadrajet four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with a sweet tune
from the dual exhaust. It's a strong-runner that also proves to be
a good all-around driver. You have a three-speed automatic
transmission, power steering, power brakes, front discs, and sway
bars front and rear. There's even cruise control for those times
when you want to hit the highway.
This is the stunner that's also a driver. So if you want Z/28 that
you can enjoy to the fullest, call today!
