This beautiful Fastback was owned by the same family for the past 40 years right here in the Atlanta, Georgia area. The guy had actually driven this car to his Senior Prom as well as through college at UGA. The car was not being driven very often anymore so they decided it was time to let her go so that anther family could enjoy this sweet Pony, maybe yours??! This is a really great car with a great Southern rust free history. This car started life as a C-code Deluxe interior Fastback that was transformed to look like a GT early in its life. Original color was Honey Gold but it was changed to Wimbledon white over 40 years ago and then received a fresh repaint a little over a year ago. Paint and body look awesome.Body panel gaps are really good especially considering they were never perfect from the factory. No door sag. No Rust or sign of previous rust repair. Chrome and stainless all look excellent. Nicely upgraded with GT touches such as fog lights, dual trumpet exhaust, badges and stripes. Body and paint look excellent overall and we had it wet sanded and buffed out recently. There are probably a few tiny rock chips I may have missed but as you will see in the pics and video it shows very nicely. The next lucky owner will be proud to show this car off at the local shows and cruise-ins and will probably come home with some trophies as well.
This is an original Deluxe Pony Interior car and seats were completely redone including front foams and they are firm and very comfortable. Rear fold down seat looks great and carpeting, headliner etc all look great. New Woodgrain dash bezel and all of the gauges appear to work correctly. This is an original Factory A/C car and all components are in place and work but system needs to be charged and/or upgraded to R134.Very nice hump hugger aftermarket center console provides storage and cup holders. Nice Retrosound Digital stereo with Bluetooth was added with speakers in the rear hatch. Beautiful woodgrain steering wheel was added .A nice set of Pony floor mats finish out the interior. Overall, the interior looks fantastic and you will again be proud to show it off.
This awesome C-code Fastback started life as a 289 V8 2bbl car. Sometime in the late 70's the original motor was replaced with a 302 V8 that we date cded and it came out f a 1970 Ford Torino. It is a very strong running motor upgraded with Edelbrock intake and 4 bbl carburetor.. Plenty of Giddy Up and she runs smooth! Power steering handles beautifully and brakes stop great and straight with no pulling. This Pony glides along the road and gets up and goes when you want her to! The green dot C-4 Automatic transmission shift smoothly. It breathes out the dual exhaust thought the GT rear valance with proper GT Trumpets. Undercarriage is rock solid and appears to be original floorpans. Inside the trunk looks excellent as well! This Fastback is sitting on a brand new set of 14" Styled Steel wheels with almost brand new BFG Radial TA's and handles the road beautifully.
