Vehicle Description
HIGHLIGHTS: Classic '60s El Camino! Marina Blue with black bucket
seats & console! 327V8, 4-speed, great driver or weekend
cruiser!
BODY OVERVIEW: The body on this El Camino is solid, though there
are some imperfections in the body work. It is a little wavy down
the side, however the underside is surprisingly clean, which is
quite a feat for a car like this that doesn't appear to have ever
received a full restoration. New floor pans have been installed in
the past, which eliminates a lot of concern for the condition of
the body on an El Camino. Overall, for us, it's a good thing that
it's not a trailer queen. Instead, this vehicle is perfect for a
car that is ready to be driven and enjoyed
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: The paint is a classic choice for any
full-size GM of this era! Just like the regular Chevelles of the
1960s, Marina Blue is a fantastic choice on an El Camino. According
to the trim tag, this car was originally Chateau Slate Metallic,
but the Marina Blue is never a bad choice! The paint is in good
condition, though it is showing normal signs of age and wear and
some orange peel in a few places. This isn't an imperfectionless,
show car paint job, but it is a nice driver-quality paint job.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: According to the trim tag, this is a
factory black bucket seat car. The interior has been left almost
completely original style, with a few changes including an
aftermarket tachometer & temp gauge, and a radio delete plate. It
is possible this car came factory with a radio delete, but the
current delete plate does not appear to be an original. As a whole,
the interior is in nice, presentable, driver condition. However,
the driver's seat is showing some wear including a small split
along one of the seams.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: The VIN number identifies this car as a
factory V8 vehicle. Naturally, under the hood is a 327V8, which is
the perfect choice for fun weekend cruising or daily driving
without having to worry about the car getting away from you. Hooked
up to a 4-speed manual transmission, driving this El Camino is all
kinds of fun! Dual exhaust with long-tube headers and glasspack
mufflers give this car a great sound, and it really runs great!
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The classic look and the
4-speed!
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: If you're looking for a
flawlessly restored, 100-point show car, this one is probably not
for you.
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? This car is running, driving, and ready to
cruise, but there are some minor things such as inoperational
reverse lights and non-functioning exterior door locks that could
stand to be repaired.
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? Anyone looking for an
affordable, head-turning cruiser perfect for fun weekend or daily
driving!
