Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1961 Land Rover Series II
109 4x4 Pickup. Finished in british racing green over a black
interior, this Land Rover presents to a good driver standard -
straight and solid throughout with no known rust issues. Frame is
galvanized for added protection and the bulkhead appears solid.
1961 was the last year for the Series II (although the IIa which
followed is nearly identical); This Series II has a 109 inch
wheelbase with half cab pickup truck configuration. Nearly new
tires on steel wheels in good condition. The truck bed has an upper
cage for added hauling capacity (which can easily be removed).
Interior is typically spartan but entirely presentable. Seats are
in good shape; door fitment is good and latches work properly; the
side curtains are in good condition; front vents in the bulkhead
operate properly and the hard top has a sliding rear window for
excellent ventilation. All gauges are working.
Under the hood is a petrol 2.25 liter four cylinder engine mated to
a four-speed manual transmission. This truck starts easily and runs
and drives well. We're quite fond of the Series II and earlier
Series IIa Land Rovers around here, particularly for the
center-mounted instruments, steel dash and inset headlights. For
