the needs of its customers and to keep up with competitors. That
was never truer than in the early 1990s with the new 300ZX. This
2+2 example is finished in Onyx (code GL1) and the paint and trim
are in overall very good order. The bodywork is straight and solid,
the body-colored bumpers fit tightly to the body, the engine bay is
extremely tidy and the cargo area is clean. This Z-car rolls on
Achilles ATR Sport radials, size 225/50R16 at every corner. Each
tire is mounted to a factory forged alloy wheel. The wheels and
tires are all in very good order. This example comes equipped with
T-tops for that open-air feeling without sacrificing structural
integrity. Changes for the 1993 model year included brake calipers
of aluminum instead of iron Under the hood is a smooth running 3.0L
DOHC, 24-valve V-6 engine with variable valve timing (N-VCT) and a
new fuel injector style. Also, the air injection valve (AIV) system
was eliminated. It is backed by a four-speed automatic transmission
(code RE4R01A). Engine control units (ECUs) on-turbo models changed
from eight-bit to 16-bit by Japan Electronic Control System Co.
This car has been treated to new spark plugs and new plug wires, a
new water pump and three new fuel injectors. Driver convenience
features include air-conditioning, power rack-and-pinion steering,
power four-wheel disc brakes, cruise control, power windows, power
locks, power seats and power sideview mirrors. This car has a rear
window defroster and rear wiper/washer. Safety equipment includes a
driver?s side airbag and anti-lock brakes. Inside, the car?s
Charcoal cloth interior (code G) is in overall very good order. The
front buckets and rear demi-buckets are in great shape. The gray
carpet is in decent order while the gray headliner looks great. A
four-spoke steering wheel with airbag is present and looks good,
while the instrument panel and inner door panels are all in very
good order. The center console and console-mounted shift lever echo
the rest of the interior?s condition. A Clarion AM/FM stereo with
CD player completes the interior. The 300ZX Turbo is included in
Car and Driver's 10Best, and one of Automobile magazine's
?All-Stars? in 1993. Nissan utilized the Cray-2 supercomputer to
design the new Z32 with a form of CAD software, making it one of
the first production cars to utilize this tool. Competition to this
Nissan in 1993 included Acura?s Integra, Chevrolet?s Camaro,
Dodge?s Daytona and Stealth, Ford?s Mustang, Honda?s Prelude,
Mitsubishi?s 3000GT, Pontiac?s Firebird and Toyota?s Supra. This is
a clean, well-kept driver that?s looking for a new lease on life
with a new owner. If you had one of these almost 30 years ago when
they were new and you?re looking for another one, why not stop by
