Vehicle Description
1966 MUSTANG COUPE "RESTO-MOD"
We just purchased this "over the top" built Mustang from the
daughter of a prominent Japanese businessman who had this car built
for himself a few years ago in Japan. She was given the car last
year to bring back to the United States to enjoy but found herself
not using the car as intended so she reluctantly decided to sell
it. We were told that her dad wanted something different to drive
to work and I suppose in Japan an iconic American muscle car is
definitely different then most. CHECK IT OUT !!
This car is not just a well built and designed car it is a work of
art !! The body is straight as an arrow and solid as a rock. The
gaps are perfect and the fitment is incredible and the Black Cherry
Metallic and Almond Beige Metallic 2 stage paint is without a doubt
show quality. Every piece of chrome, trim, weather stripping and
glass has been replaced new. The custom interior is also super cool
and very tastefully done. The front bucket seats are from an Audi
TT and are power adjustable and wrapped in glove leather as well as
the matching rear seats, custom door panels and headliner too. The
interior also features a classic vintage gauge cluster, power
windows, a Pioneer Stereo, 3 point harness seat belts and more.
Power comes from a Ford 302c.i. 340 h.p. crate engine that has been
topped off with EFI fuel injection and ceramic coated headers. It
also has a serpentine pulley system and lots of polished and chrome
goodies to show it all off. It is backed up by a "AOD" 4 speed
automatic overdrive transmission and a 9" Ford rear with Tru-Lock
and 3:50 gears.Other features include, power rack and pinion
steering, tubular upper and lower control arms, adjustable coil
over shocks, 4 wheel power disc brakes, cold Vintage air
conditioning, HID-LED lighting, custom dual exhaust,15" American
Racing AR500 wheels with B.F.G. tires and so much more. I am now a
believer that the Japanese can build the hell out of a Classic car.
This car was extremely well done and meticulously built. Well over
$100k was spent and we have 2 binders full of receipts and
instructions to prove it. No disappointments !! Don't miss it !!
