Picture yourself cruising down the road in the Road King. 1938 Pontiac Business Coupe Street Rod
This Canadian built Pontiac business coupe was purchased by its present owner in 2009. Since then, the owner has done a ground up restoration, creating a unique street rod. Binder containing invoices and documentation available.
The frame of the vehicle has a complete front “clip” from a 1981 Trans Am with 4-wheel disc brakesinstalled. The back of the frame also has been reinforced to pull a small fibreglass trailer (Boler). The front bumper has been installed behind the front fenders. Both front and back have a smoothed look with bumpers behind the fenders.
Engine – Cars Speed and Machine Shop in Prince George completely rebuilt a small block Chevy 350 Cu in V-8, fitted with an RV cam and dressed with an Edelbrock air cleaner and valve covers. Equipped with headers.
Transmission – Professionally rebuilt and is paired with a GM 10-bolt Posi differential with 2.73 highway gears.
The engine starts easily, runs strong and smooth with no evidence of any oil consumption. Power train operates as expected.
Body - The paint and body have been professionally restored and in addition to a unique 3-tone paint job, the body work includes a frenched rear license plate holder, a custom rear roll pan, louvered side panels on the hood, hand-made running boards and fuel filler cap is recessed into the body for a smooth look. The front of the vehicle has been fitted professionally with vinyl chip protection.
Trunk – False floor for spare tire. Battery is installed in the trunk underneath the top floor and contains an off/on power switch.
Lights – Headlights, tail lights and lights on the back of mirrors are all LED’s.
The body is straight, all panels and doors fit well, rocker sills have been replaced, paint work has no chips. All body parts are metal.
Interior – The interior was completely gutted. New door panels, kick panels and trunk panels were all reconstructed and the interior was custom upholstered. Custom -built center console, upholstered to match with a phone charging outlet. Six way leather bucket seats. Tilt steering wheels. Bluetooth stereo with instruction manual. Windshield, back window and sides in good condition, no chips.
Extra car parts (hood, side panels and chrome trim) are also available.
