For Sale: 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS in Sonoma, California

Vehicle Description

1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS Convertible
1-Owner, California Car, Black Plates

Very special one-owner 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS Convertible for sale. Of the 225,000 produced in 1967 only 5,285 of this version were produced. This iconic Camaro was purchased new at Washburn Chevrolet in Santa Barbara, California, on June 13th, 1967, where it has lived since. Delivered new in Mountain Green with a black power convertible top and black bucket seats and interior; 6-cylinder engine, Powerglide transmission, center console, clock, and the popular and rare RPO Z22 Rally Sport Equipment package along with power steering, power brakes, and walnut steering wheel. It includes a lifetime of owner service receipts along with the original plastic sleeve containing its original warranty booklet with Protect-o-Plate, owners manual, factory warranty card, convertible top operation guide, warranty guide booklet, photos of its proud owner with the car back in the day, and the original purchase receipt and finance agreement & registration cards dating back to the 1960s. It even wears its original California-issued black and gold license plates with the selling dealer's original license plate frame up-front. It has been garaged throughout its life. The owner recently spent $18,000 refreshing her special old RS. We have spent $1000's more refreshing many items to ensure it is sent off in great shape!

This lovely old Camaro starts runs and drives beautifully. In 2019 the car was treated to an extensive mechanical refresh and included a complete engine rebuild, rebuilt transmission, cooling system, braking system, alternator, carburetor, starter, distributor, and tires. At that time, the entire engine compartment was restored. The motor burns clean and strong with no smoke, and the shifting, braking, and new front suspension are solid. It even has a new wiring harness.

The exterior was resprayed a few years ago in its original Mountain Green. Tired trim was replaced with fresh new parts, including grille, headlight and door assemblies, front bumper, and several molding pieces. It appears to have its original top, which is in surprisingly good shape. We had the rear plastic window replaced to improve visibility. This is one nice-looking, well-preserved Camaro that has been mindfully freshened up and made ready for its second lucky owner!

Inside is a mixture of original and new with new carpet, tidy center console, new dash pad and door panels, gauge bezel, and other items. While the radio and clock are currently inoperable, the rest of the features are working, such as power top, gauges, wipers, heater, and lighting.

This is a rare opportunity to own an extremely well-documented, one-owner California Camaro RS convertible that has been made reliable and road-ready.
