Classic details, hot rod flair, a comfy A/C interior, and a hardy
V8 under the hood - this 1942 Ford Tudor is that kind of great
all-around custom build that reminds you that the best cars are
great for both showing and driving.
This Tudor body has a fastback sort of style that looks absolutely
classic while still having a modern appeal. And you look over this
one, you can see it follows the theme of blending vintage and
upgrades. The Apricot Peach is a creamy hue that fits this theme
quite nicely. It has a great vintage vibe, but it's a modern
respray done within the last decade. So there's an added luster
that makes this look nice in the sunshine. You get classic elements
like the chrome bumpers, alligator hood, and large fenders. Plus,
the 1942 Fords were a brief pre-war redesign with concealed running
boards and a broader grille. But more than just vintage, you can
tell this is a unique machine with shaved door handles, deleted
trim, an undivided windshield, and plenty of artful pinstriping.
And the 15-inch Boyds wheels have an extra meaty rear set to signal
the extra power this one brings to the streets.
Pop the door opener to reveal an interior that's practical,
comfortable, and unmistakably custom. The full tan package looks
stylish against the exterior peach The centerpiece are the upgraded
well-bolstered bucket seats done in a tasteful leather and tweed.
The rear seats are done to match, and there's plenty of room back
there. So this is the kind of car that's easy to share with family
and friends. Plus there are nice comfort features like cold-blowing
air conditioning, power front windows, a cup holder center console,
and an AM/FM/CD stereo w/aux input. You get a leather-wrapped
sports steering wheel on a tilt column, and beyond that is a
well-integrated VDO gauge package upgrade.
The engine bay has the look of high-polish quality. It's a great
way to showcase the upgrade to a 350 cubic-inch V8. This small
block was rebuilt to include a Holley Street Avenger four-barrel
carburetor, an Edelbrock Performer intake, and shorty headers
feeding the dual exhaust. It also has the right supporting
components, like a Walker radiator with electric fan. The
three-speed automatic transmission is a stout unit that has been
rebuilt with a shift kit. As you look underneath, you can see how
the frame was powder coated during the resonation, and there was
even a more recent investment in 2019 to rebuild the Mustang
II-style front suspension. Plus, power steering, power brakes,
front discs, and wide BF Goodrich T/As give you a solid all-around
driving package.
Complete with build receipts, this is a distinct-year Ford upgraded
for added comfort and street machine appeal. You're not the only
one who appreciates a total package like this, so hurry up and call
today!
