Here is a very nice 1967 Ford Fairlane 500XL convertible with a 289 V8 and a C4 automatic transmission, power steering and power top. The XL trim means bucket seats and console as well as more elaborate outside and inside trim.
The car is from sunny California and is without rust, as you can see from the pictures of the underside. It runs and drives great, is not a muscle car but a nice reliable cruiser that goes straight down the road, does not overheat, starts easily every time and is fun to own and drive. The paint is an older repaint in red metallic with some small imperfections. Interior has been done some years ago in red and white vinyl. The engine bay is nice and clean just like the trunk area which has its spare wheel, jack and trunk mat. The 289 has been upgraded with an Edelbrock aluminum intake and 600 carburator, chrome air cleaner and valve covers, and a new water pump.
Recent work done: New brake system with all wheel cylinders, brake shoes, master cylinder and all three brake lines. New front suspension with upper and lower control arms and ball joints, all steering links and idler arm, sway bar bushings, strut rod bushings and new shocks. New dual exhaust system.
New convertible top, hydraulic cylinders and lines, new top switch. Newly rechromed bumpers. The car rides on modern Mustang 17” rims with good tires.
