Vehicle Description
This beast of a Land Cruiser has been upgraded and modified. The
power train is now a 5.3L Vortec. The engine roughly had 120,000
miles when it was installed, which was roughly 10,000 miles ago. At
the time of the engine install a new water pump, thermostat, belts,
and Power steering was changed out. The oil pan was swapped for a
Summit Racing "hot rod" oil pan for better clearance. The radiator
was upgraded to aluminum and a heavy-duty alternator was added. The
OEM Transfer case was rebuilt less than 5K ago. The 5.3 Vortec is
mated to a Monster HD 4L60E Transmission with less than 5K on it. A
stylish Lokar Shifter is the controller in the cab. The suspension
is nuts and over-built for longevity. FJ80 coil Suspension
professionally installed by TrailTailor Customs. FJ80 front and
rear axles with new gearing appropriate for the 34" tires. ARB Diff
Breathers, FJ80 front, and rear brakes, ARB Single air compressor,
Front and Rear ARB lockers, REar Airbags for towing, ToughDog foam
shocks, The wheels are "17 TRD Pro Wheels wrapped by Cooper
285/75R17 ST Maxx Tires with less than 1000 miles. The fuel tank
was also upgraded to a Trail Tailor Customs 40 gallon long-range
tank. The front of this beast is wrapped with an ARB front bumper.
The rear bumper is a 4x4 Labs with a swingout for the matching
spare. Trail Tailor Customs Rock Sliders. The interior is a place
you will want to spend some time with new after-market seats,
Tuffcountry Console, and new carpet. The rear seat is OEM in good
condition but protected by a custom canvas seat cover. Light up the
night trails with the Hella H2/H4 lights with relays or really get
it bright with the ARB intensity off-road lights. This is an
excellent build but it does have some things to be sorted out.
Those items are, the rear passenger window doesn't go down, the
Fuel gauge is INOP, The AC is INOP. The switch is wired and a
condenser is in place but you will need a Chevy compressor and
plumbing to make it happen. The rear swing-out handle is broken,
useable with a pair of vice grips. This Land Cruiser is a beast but
does have little things that will keep you busy between adventures.
