This is a 2001 Factory Five Mark I Cobra. The owner completed it
over a 3-year span and had it finished in 2004, Overall, it is a
great quality build. With only 5,500 miles on it she's ready to hit
the streets and take you for a ride!
EXTERIOR: The color combination is very slick! It's painted Ford
PPG Black with silver Ford Racing stripes. Don't forget to pay
attention to the finer details like the red pin striping on the
edges that really make the stripes pop! The owner opted for Cobra R
Replica wheels - they are in great shape with plenty of life left
on the tires. The side pipes for the exhaust are weathered a little
bit and could use a refinish.
INTERIOR: Sitting in the cockpit really makes you want to take this
thing for a ride. Overall, it is very clean. It has Dynamat under
the carpet to reduce any rattles and ground noise. It has the
Factory Five pleather racing seats, Autometer gauges, and it even
has heater controls for the heat allowing you to take it out during
the colder fall mornings. The cobra woodgrain steering wheel was a
really nice touch as well.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Under the hood you'll find a 5.0L crate v8 from
Ford Racing, combined with Iron mustang GT heads rebuilt, Echo Cam
from Ford Racing, Edelbrock dual intake manifold, Holly 600
secondary Carb, K&N cold air filter with a cobra housing, March
Performance pulley kit, and it's all mated up to a New T5 manual
transmission. Look a little bit lower and you'll find it also has
power steering!
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The trunk compartment is finished nicely in a
polished and riveted aluminum, the owner added shocks to the trunk
lid so it will stay up. There's also quick connects to the battery.
Overall a clean and simple design.
UNDERSIDE: Underneath is very clean and like new. The T5
transmission is powering a rebuilt 3.55 geared rear end, it also
has Koni coilovers from Factory Five with front disc brakes.
I consider this one exceptional. Very detailed, paint is slick,
interior is spotless. No pitting on the wheels. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle.
