Vehicle Description
This 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu has the great hardtop look of a
true icon. So as you look over all the correct, original, and
surviving features on this period-correct machine, it really gives
you the feeling of a V8-powered time capsule. And because this is a
strong driver with cold A/C, you know it also is a terrific
cruiser.
This car has big potential to be one of the coolest survivors ever.
We're told that just about every aspect of this vehicle is factory
original, including the motor, mileage, paint, and interior. We do
not have the full proof for this, but as you dig deeper into this
one, you'll see all the right signs to reaffirm the survivor
feeling. It starts with the paint. The Dover White is a classic
lacquer finish. It has that ideal look of a car that wants to tell
its story. That means a clean and complete look, that also has some
chips and patina that was earned over time. It was even touched up
on the rear quarter because this was stored under a car cover for
so long that the spot bonded with the finish (that's a cool story
to tell if you're a true survivor fan.) This has the look of a
terrific upper-level Malibu with complete and straight trim. The
lower gray section is right for a Sport Coupe (not Super Sport,)
and the trim tag tells us even the black vinyl roof is correct.
The green interior is the perfect color for this era, and the
exceptional preservation lets you see the vintage details. So there
are still button tops to the seats and the dash still carries its
Astro Ventilation tag. The dash is smooth; the door panels are
intricate; the headliner is taut, and there's plenty of room across
the wide bench seats to share this hardtop with family and friends.
This is a premium Malibu so you have premium features like factory
air conditioning (now blowing cold with modern R134a refrigerant.)
This is really a time machine on wheels, and so even the factory AM
radio is still cranking out tunes.
Under the hood is exactly what you want to see if you love
originality. The 350 cubic-inch V8 does a terrific job of driving
home the look of a survivor car with the full honesty of the
presentation. While this one is believed to have low mileage
(averaging under 1,500 annually,) we bet you'll enjoy adding to the
odometer on your way to the survivor shows. And with the
three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and power
brakes, you can comfortably enjoy period-correct cruising at its
best. The tires are one of the few modern upgrades, so you can
drive with confidence.
Complete with the original bill of sale, this is an awesome time
capsule. If you're into survivor cars, you know how special it is
to find a true Malibu from this era. Call now!
