Vehicle Description
We love the sleeper style of this 1955 Chevrolet 210. It has the
classic Tri-Five look, but the full frame-off restoration also got
this one upgraded with a hot small block and four-on-the-floor. So
you have an icon that's both fresh and fast.
The full restoration was only completed about two years ago and
there have been less than 250 miles on the build. You'll notice a
fresh style on the whole car, but it also clearly wants to go a bit
incognito. This feeling starts with the paint. The color holds
close to 1955's Harvest Gold. It has a nice gloss in the sunshine,
but it doesn't want to look overdone so that others will suspect
the beast within. In fact, it has a true sleeper style where you
have to pay attention to spot the upgrades. The dual exhaust tips
are large but not obvious, and the upgrade to Rally wheel trim
looks a touch like the classic package thanks to color-matched
wheels on the inside. The rest of the car is just pure classic '55
Chevy cool. Big chrome bumpers, a distinct grille, a jet-like hood
ornament leading the way, and artful sweeping side trim make for an
iconic way to cruise.
The interior was also given a detail-oriented restoration. It feels
like they turned back the clock inside with the fresh seats, door
panels, headliner, carpeting, and the other fundamentals. It really
looks good, right down to the little things, like the shining door
handles and working dome lights. Even the upgrades are
well-integrated with the seatbelts and an AM/FM/XM digital tuner
that still looks like the classic Wonderbar radio. You'll love to
slip behind the artful vintage steering wheel. However, upgraded
AutoMeter auxiliary gauges, Hurst shifter, and handy column-mounted
tach all let you know this classic car has something quite special
under the hood.
When you lift the hood, the tidy setup and color-matched yellow
inner fender walls funnel your attention to the V8 heart in the
middle. We all know the Tri-Fives as the car to launch the
legendary small block motor, but they were never given anything as
large as this 350 cubic-inch unit. And the upgrades don't end
there. It has been bored .30 over and built with mild cam. And
there's also a Holley four-barrel carburetor, a Holley intake, and
an aluminum radiator to help keep the full package running cool. It
fires up with a good growl as long tube headers add power while
feeding into a dual exhaust with Flowmasters. You are in complete
control of this enhanced powerhouse with the four-speed manual
transmission featuring a new clutch, pressure plate, and bell
housing.
The sale comes complete with build receipts and maintenance
records. You're looking at a distinct, fresh, and fun build. So if
you love a sleeper that's also an icon, don't miss this Chevy. Call
