For Sale: 1966 Ford Mustang in Alpharetta, Georgia

Vehicle Description

BEAUTIFULLY RESTORED,1966 FORD MUSTANG C-CODE 289 V8, POWER STEERING, POWER DISC BRAKES, DUAL EXHAUST, READY TO SHOW AND GO!!

This gorgeous Nighmist Blue Metallic '66 Mustang was treated to a professional ground-up restoration in 2011-2012 and looks like it was just restored this year. The gentleman I purchased it from owned it since 2014 and maintained the car beautifully and enjoyed it on sunny day drives but recent back surgery made it difficult for him to drive it so he decided it was time to let the next lucky owner enjoy it....maybe you?!! My first 2 cars when I was a kid were both '66 Mustang Coupes so it has been fun to drive this one a bit. I will do my best to provide you with enough pics, a video so you can see and hear it running, and an honest description to help you decide if this Pony should be in your garage. I have a file full of receipts documenting mst of the restoration and maintenance work done. I am also a licensed transport broker and can get you a great rate on enclosed transport anywhere in the country and I welcome overseas buyers as well and can assist in getting the car to the port of your choice.

As you will see in the pics the paint and body on this '66 coupe are outstanding. This car started life in the northwest part of the couuntry with original DSO code 26 which is Washington State. A professional restoration was done in 2011-2012 and it truly looks like it could have been done this past year as there is very little sign of wear. This car started life as a Vintage Burgundy color but it was changed to Nightmist Blue Metallic which almost looks black in the shade or at night but glistens in the sunlight. Body panels are rust free and super straight. Panel gaps are excellent. Chrome and stainless all look great and this car has the wheel well and rocker panel trim that dresses it out nicely. Bumpers look close to new. Glass and weatherstripping is all excellent. Although not flawless, the body is truly in amazing condition and the paint quality is top notch. I recently had it wet sanded and buffed out for a mirror like shine and you will be proud to take this ne to the local shows and cruise-in events and will prbably win your share of trphies if that is what you enjoy. I think the pics will show you how nice the paint and body are!

Complimenting the Nighmist Blue exterior is a completely restrored 2 tone blue interior. Everything looks fantastic from the door panels, seats, dash pad, headliner, and carpeting. Center console and dash bezel look great. Origiinal stle blue steering wheel is like new. All f the gauges appear to be working correctly. The speedometer was sent out in 2014 to be rebuilt and was reset to 0 at that time and currently reads 786 miles. An aftermarket am/fm stereo was installed in the original radio location and works but seems to be a wiring issue to speakers that are in the rear deck that we will look into. If I had to pick anything on the interior I would say that they trimmed the carpeting a little short under the dash which really cannot be seen easily. Nice set of black Pony carpet mats and anther set of blue ones included in the trunk that need to be cleaned. As you will see in the pics the interior is also worthy of showing off and is very comfortable as well.

Under the hood is the original 289 V8 2bbl C-code motor that was gone through at the time of restoration and runs awesome!! It is mated to the Original C-4 Green dot automatic transmission that shifts smoothly and was also completly serviced. It breathes out the stock manifiolds and back thrugh an upgraded custom dual exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers for a slightly throatier tone then stock but not too loud. This Mustang really drives out nicely and handling is a breeze with the power steering and it stops with ease thanks to the upgraded power front disc brakes that were added. Riding on a nice set of styled steel wheels with white wall radial tires for that classic look. The engine bay has been nicely detailed and you will notice the original smog equipment since it was a west coast car still on the motor which is unusual to find. Floorpans all look excellent as does the trunk area which is also nicely dressed out with original style mat and spare tire cover.

BE SURE TO WATCH THE VIDEO FOR A WALK AROUND TOUR AND TO HEAR IT START UP AND RUNNING!

Overall this '66 Mustang is a beautifully restored classic that is ready to be driven and enjoyed and will also be welcomed at the lcal shows and events. Restoration and work done is nicely documented and this is sure to be a great investment classic for the lucky new owners.
