Vehicle Description
This 1939 Ford Deluxe 5-window coupe is a sought-after classic.
It's not just an iconic design wrapped in a dark shine, but it also
has a more modern suspension, upgraded A/C interior, overdrive
transmission, and a powerful 351 V8 heart.
The Deluxe was truly given a deluxe restoration. They soda blasted
the body and smoothed the panels before the first drop of PPG's
black was applied. It means the paint has a sleek finish that's
almost giving you the look of a black mirror. All this gloss makes
a terrific way to showcase the aggressively sharp nose and
curvaceous fenders that make this coupe a legend. The shine also
works well with all that brilliant brightwork. You can tell they
made a solid investment in the mirror-like chrome bumpers, teardrop
headlight bezels, waterfall grille, and full-length trim. And there
are subtle ways this one indicates it's an upgraded machine, like
the LED taillights and Halibrand-style wheels done with a
15/17-inch front/rear stagger.
Inside it feels like no expense was spared to give this coupe
plenty of real modern conveniences. The split-bench brown leather
upholstery is done by Sid Chavers. It's more modern and comfortable
than anything from the 1930s, and it has seatbelts so they are road
trip ready. The door panels have been done to match. The wood-like
trim dash and window surrounds add even more style to this
well-done package. This is even good for getting long-haul
comfortable with features like cruise control, Polk sound system
w/Bluetooth, and cold-blowing air conditioning.
Under the hood, the original Ford flathead V8 was swapped out for
something with substantially more power. You're looking at a
Windsor 351 V8. It has a great style with dark inner walls, classic
Powered by Ford valve covers, and a Cadillac-style hot rod air
grabber. And more than an upgraded presentation, it has also been
enhanced with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock
intake, and Sanderson headers that add more power while also
contributing to the rumble of the dual exhaust. Another upgraded
example is the four-speed transmission that's stout enough to
handle all the extra power, as well as have overdrive for highway
cruising. As you look at the undercarriage photos, you see a
freshness that tells you all about the investment in this one.
There's also an independent front suspension, four-link rear,
adjustable coilovers power steering, and four-wheel power disc
brakes. Now you can see how this is a great power package that's
also easy enough to drive on the morning commute.
This is a coupe that could have been a moonshiner back in the day
but survived to be a creature-comfort hot rod. Your own legend
begins here, but you should act fast. We know these cars of this
quality don't stay under our showroom lights long. Call
