For Sale: 1978 Chevrolet Camaro in Concord, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

This 1978 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is all about the upgrades. They invested in the slick exterior, custom/comfy interior, four-wheel disc brakes, and a new BluePrint stoker V8 to deliver a head-turning well-coordinated package that packs plenty of power.

These later second-gen Camaros had a whole different sense of style, and this one really turns it up a notch. The modern application of black metallic paint gives this one the gloss of a midnight stalker. Since deep black looks great reflecting bright colors, this one has a proper full strip package done in a two-tone blue. And while the full package is just as attractive as classic neon signs reflecting against the midnight sky, the blue also serves another purpose. This is a real-deal Z/28, and the blue highlights the best parts, like the hood scoop, flared fenders, and full-width rear spoiler. That makes for a cool/classic style, this one also likes to announce it's an upgraded machine. It's everywhere from the more modern 17-inch alloys to the LED headlights.

The full black interior complements the black exterior for a great performance look inside and out. So you'll love taking the T-tops out and showing off this total package to the world. But more than just look good, this was meant to be driven. That means extra quality in the fundamentals. So you not only have fresh carpeting but there's also modern sound insulation beneath it. Plus, the seats have been reupholstered to have a fresh feel to the classic look, and when you sit down, you'll feel the difference of new foam padding. And there's a vintage look but a newer feel to everything from the center console to the retro-style AM/FM digital tuner w/Bluetooth. We especially love the look of the Dakota Digital gauges (a $1,200 investment on their own.) They fit into the classic dash housing, but they have a cool blue glow to give us a similar accenting to the exterior.

The engine bay has a fresh and clean presentation because this car has a fresh and powerful heart. It's a BluePrint performance-built 383 cubic-inch stroker motor. This includes hypereutectic pistons, moly piston rings, a roller camshaft, aluminum heads, and more. It has only about 2k miles on it, and so it's still under warranty! It inhales deeply with a Holley 750 CFM four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with power and authority as ceramic coated headers feed into a dual exhaust with FlowMaster 40-series mufflers. You'll also spot good supporting components, like an HEI distributor, steel braided fuel lines w/AN fittings, and a Champion aluminum radiator. The full package is said to make 440+ horsepower! And when you have a muscle machine like this, the best way to control it is with a Borg Warner Super T10 four-speed and new Centerforce clutch. This sends the power to a versatile 3.73 rear end. The suspension has been upgraded for all this power, including subframe connectors, sway bars, and four-wheel disc brakes with Wilwood units in front. Finish it off with modern/grippy ZR-rated tires, and you have a total power package that looks right and handles as a mean machine should.

Complete with plenty of build receipts, here's a classic Camaro that has an awesome appearance and all the right moves to live up to its bold first impression. A car this special never stays idle for long. Call now!
