For Sale: 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ in Kentwood, Michigan
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser
Collectors Edition for your consideration. Powered by a strong 4.5L
inline-6 motor paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission, this
Land Cruiser delivers power to all four wheels through Toyota's
capable 4WD system. This example was not equipped with the factory
option of a locking differential.
Sporting the original Dark Emerald Pearl Metallic paint, this
example rides on the stock wheels which are finished in a dark grey
that provides a nice accent to the exterior paint. The tan leather
interior does show some minor signs of wear but overall is in great
condition. It has an aftermarket radio that has wireless phone
connectivity and Apple CarPlay capabilities. The power window
mechanisms have been replaced in both front doors as has the
gearing for the power seats. A cool feature of these Land Cruisers
is the fold up third row that allows for rear cargo capacity while
still having the third row easily accessible. A new custom molded
carpet with sound deadening was recently installed as well. With
the power sunroof, automatic climate control, and cruise control
there are plenty of creature comforts that make this equally as
comfortable as it is capable.
Recently, new tires were installed. This example also received a
complete flush and cleaning of all systems including transfer case,
transmission, cooling, and fuel injection. The undercarriage was
stripped and resealed with epoxy primer and a front steering
stabilizer was installed.
Of the 14,981 Land Cruisers that were produced for the U.S. market
in 1997, only a mere 17% were the Collector Edition. The Collector
Edition included the automatic climate control, leather steering
wheel, privacy glass, leather power sport seats, leather headrest,
body side moldings, and Collector Edition badging.
Launched in 1990, the FJ80 generation Toyota Land Cruiser built on
the success of the early models, featuring unmatched durability,
toughness, and off-road prowess. Built until 1997, these Land
Cruiser were sold in the states as 4 door wagons, with standard 4WD
and automatic transmissions. Available with a standard locking
differential, solid axles, and tougher mechanicals than earlier
models, the FJ80 is beloved all around the world. Many trucks are
still the go-to ride for everyone from soccer moms to safari
guides. Please call or email with any questions or for additional
information.
