Vehicle Description
Big jobs need big trucks, and this 2008 Ford F-250 Lariat Super
Duty 4x4 was built to be able to conquer pretty much anything on
this green earth of ours. With the venerable 6.4L Power Stroke
turbo diesel running the show under the hood with a few choice
upgrades, a heavy-duty lifted suspension, a slick black paint job,
and a gorgeous interior that's in great shape, this big Ford can
tackle any job. And with low ownership and only 76,283 miles on the
clock, this hard-working bruiser will be around job sites and
cruise-ins for a long, long time.
The big, squared-off style of the late-2000s F-series works
particularly well in Super Duty form. Crisply rendered and very
butch, this rig looks like it could pull an ocean liner out of the
water. That's factory Black paint, and it's very well maintained
over the last 13 years and 76K miles. The big chrome grille and
matching Westin push bar, oversized mirrors, LED fog lights,
retractable step boards, and, of course, the covered oversized bed
and heavy-duty tailgate all add to the big rig feel, although
you'll ultimately discover that this pickup is pretty darned
civilized out on the road. The bed has obviously been used gently
despite the hardware, with no signs of heavy abuse, despite the
fact that you can pretty much pull just about anything you want
with that lifted set-up and huge tires. Four doors means that it
can carry the whole family in tow, but the bed is still properly
big enough to haul away half of the job site with you as well. It
has lived its entire life with just two owners, and they really
took great care of the truck as it lived down south in Texas since
new, so there are no critical structural issues to worry about
underneath. Get in and put it to work!
If you've been inside a modern 4x4 truck in the last 15 years, then
you probably know just how luxurious they've become. Tan leather
buckets flank a large middle console up front, while out back
there's plenty of space for three, making long-distance cruising a
pleasure. The leather upholstery is in shockingly good condition
and the big cab feels downright spacious, even when packed to the
gills with dirty contractors. Original tan carpets are protected by
a set of black heavy-duty rubber mats, so no worries about getting
in with your boots on, and for a hauler like this, you're going to
want options: dual climate A/C, power everything, cruise control,
and a tilt steering column. A modern Pioneer LED media screen was
added to control the entertainment and back-up camera, and with a
full array of airbags, this Ford is big on safety as well. Couple
that with the factory trailer controls and the easy-to-use
automatic transmission on the column, and this big Ford is
well-equipped for long-distance cruising. Big, bright gauges offer
a comprehensive view of the engine's condition and with 76,283
original miles, you Ford fans familiar with these trucks understand
that this one is only just getting broken in. A sliding rear window
is a nice feature and we have to say that climbing in this truck
feels like coming home, although we practically needed a ladder to
do so.
Ford's 6.4L Power Stroke Turbo Diesel V8 was introduced in 2008 and
built for jobs like this, and although the motor only lasted a few
years for Ford before it was replaced, it still had plenty of fans.
Quite frankly, if you want a hard-working diesel truck that won't
leave you stranded, you can't do better than a Ford Power Stroke,
and you Cummins and Duramax fans can go ahead and send us your hate
mail - we know you guys have plenty of downtime with your trucks
sidelined in the shop. With a modern fuel-injection unit on top,
it's an unparalleled torque factory that shrugs off the biggest
loads you can put behind it, and it was designed to only run on
ultra-low sulfur diesel to help with emissions output. The big
low-RPM engine isn't stressed thanks to the low miles, so it will
run practically forever with proper maintenance, and with updates
from No Limit Fabrication including a cold-air intake system, new
intercooler pipes, and custom tune, it's running great today. It's
tidy and detailed under the hood, but being pretty isn't this
truck's job; it works for a living. Ford's tough electronic 5-speed
automatic overdrive transmission offers good gearing to make the
most of the Power Stroke's torque curve and a tall overdrive that
turns highway hauls into relaxing road trips, and with a massive
fuel tank, you won't be stopping for gas that often. Southern
living is most visible underneath, where it's extremely clean and
well-preserved, from the upgraded Fabtech suspension and lift to
the gigantic rear end, and the upgraded exhaust system sounds
great. Finishing off the look, the long body sits on brightly
polished 20-inch chrome wheels fitted with 38x13.5x20 truck radials
with plenty of tread.
If you've priced Power Strokes lately, especially ones as
well-preserved and ready to work as this, you know how special
these trucks really are. Low-miles and customized just right, this
big bruiser is ready to go. Call today!
