This beautifully restored first-generation Mustang with less than 68K miles is all ready to go for your top-down summer cruising! A 2nd place junior trophy win at an antique automobile club of America show in Carlisle PA speaks to the quality of the vehicle.
This 1966 Mustang Convertible rolled off the Ford assembly line in Metuchen New Jersey on July 18, 1967. It sported a Nightmist Blue exterior, blue-on-blue interior, a 2 bbl 289 V8, and 3-speed manual transmission. The taupe power convertible top is a rare anomaly due to the late date of production of this vehicle.
Today it maintains its original exterior look with Nightmist blue paint and convertible top, and carries its original 289 engine, while a previous owner had the 3-speed manual replaced with a C3 automatic transmission and console. Inside it has been upgraded to the Pony interior, including new seat upholstery in parchment, complementing the taupe top. Carpet and floor mats were replaced in July 2011, at the same time the engine compartment was restored to the factory look.
2020 BF Goodrich 215-70-R14 T/A radial tires on steel wheels with simulated mag wheel covers finish the exterior look of this Mustang (with a full-size matching spare tire in the trunk).
Since November 2018, the following upgrades and repairs have been made (complete maintenance records available upon request):
