1950 Ford 2 Door Coupe
Following World War II, Ford got back to the business of producing automobiles, relying on designs and styling from prior the war. Model year 1949 finally brought an update, which many credit with saving the Ford Motor Company from demise. The 1950 Ford Coupe is particularly popular among collectors and enthusiasts.
The coupe’s updated body was bolted to a ladder-style frame improving the ride, and the new design’s integrated fenders and wide slab sides contributed to its informal moniker, the “Shoebox Ford.” These cars sported ample chrome accents including substantial wrap around bumpers and front grille.
The 1950 Ford presented at auction features a black exterior and the wide white sidewalls set off the brilliant chrome in a most attractive way.
