inclement weather. Super comfortable, hugely usable, looks good to
boot. What's not to love? €" Road&Track, April 2014 After a
day's worth of test-driving, Senior Road&Track editor, Josh
Condon, continued: The Allroad handled everything with aplomb, and
then some. The massive cargo area could have fit three times the
luggage; the windshield heating elements took care of the ice in a
hot minute; the heated seats kicked in like an oven, and the whole
car had the atmosphere of, say, Guatemala in the summer by the time
I was finished scraping ice. On the slippery, snowy roads, the
Allroad was not just capable, it was a blast, tearing through the
snow and ice with massive grip. Actually, the only other cars I've
been in recently that have been as confidence-inspiring in bad
weather? Both Audis. Offered here is a dealer-maintained, 2014 Audi
Allroad in black-and-silver over black. Showing 69,530 miles on its
odometer, or fewer than 10,000 miles per-year on average since new,
this Allroad qualifies as a low-mileage example. The A4-platform
Allroad replaced the older A6-based model. The latter's
problem-prone, air-adjustable suspension was replaced with a far
more reliable, but still quattro-equipped all-wheel-drive layout
and suspension. The 2014 Allroad body retains Audi's timeless
styling and includes the optional Premium Plus trim and comfort
package. Audis generally age very gracefully as evidenced here. The
car's exterior black paint is accented with silver on the lower
body, wheel arches. The condition of the paint-one of Audi's
manufacturing strong suit-is excellent. Body-panel fit is
factory-correct, and lower-rear panel. Brushed-metal trim on the
lower valances front and rear is undamaged. All factory emblems are
in place. Cabin glass and lighting lenses are crystal-clear.
Factory 5-spoke, 18-inch alloy wheels(with Audi-logo center caps)
are free of curb damage and mounted with 245/45-18 all-season
tires. Inside, another of Audi's strong suits-cabin design-is in
evidence throughout. Handsomely designed, black-leather upholstery
(including center armrests in both rows of seating) is free of
damage showing the barest minimum of wear. Every switch and control
surface is smooth with no degradation of the graphic markings.
Textured brushed-metal trim on the doors, dash, and console has a
satisfying, distinctly Teutonic feel. The multi-function steering
wheel frames analog instruments; Audi's much-praised MMI®
driver-information screen, HVAC, and audio controls are located in
the center stack. The automatic-transmission shifter is
console-mounted. Cabin floors and the cargo area are covered in
charcoal carpeting, also free of damage. A full set of carpet mats
and two programmed key fobs are included. Under the hood, Audi's
venerable 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder TFSI powerplant is housed in a
showroom-clean and complete engine bay. All components are present
and no modifications are indicated. Viewed from below, the
Allroad's chassis is similarly complete and free of any sign of
damage. All protective plates are in place and only minimal light
surface rust is present on some untreated metal. While the more
than 115 high-definition photographs and the short
walk-around-and-startup video available on the GarageKeptMotors
website showcase this '14 Audi Allroad in detail from every angle,
