Vehicle Description
This 1956 Chevrolet 3200 big back window truck is all about
offering you extra... extra power from the LS1 V8, extra duty of
the rarer 3200 long bed, and extra stares from the added
stance/style.
This truck deserved the custom treatment. After all, it has two
instantly distinguishable exterior features. First, it's a
3200-series and that means you have the rarely-seen long bed. Not
only does it look extra cool on a stepside truck, but the
forward-leaning stance of this truck just seems to elongate it even
further. This is also a big back window truck, and that wraparound
rear glass seems to have almost a hint of blue to go with the
paint. The blue has a good style, and it does show some signs of
enjoyment over the years. But what's really cool is how this is a
canvas for both the full custom pinstriping and the ghost flames
burning down the side. Alloy wheels, dual exhaust tips, and real
oak in the truck bed are all part of a full package that makes up a
unique and custom machine.
The custom style continues inside. You have been upgraded to later
model sports bucket seats, and yours even power adjusts to the
ideal position. There's a cup holder center console in-between.
Keen eyes will recognize that these were both borrowed from a
fourth-gen Camaro, and that hints at the power within (more on that
in a moment.) There are also power windows, a retro-style AM/FM
radio, and provisions for R134a air conditioning (it will need
servicing to blow cold again. You get a wood and chrome sports
steering wheel. And beyond that is a Dakota Digital gauge package
that glows in a cool blue that coordinates with the colors of this
truck.
The tidy walls of the engine bay do a terrific job of funneling
your attention to the modern motor in the middle. This is a
5.7-liter LS1, and we love these fuel-injected V8s for being both
powerful and versatile. This one was installed correctly and it has
all the right components. It includes an aluminum radiator to help
keep you running cool, and a Flowmaster dual exhaust to give this
truck the right street machine growl. Because this truck is made to
be a true cruiser, you have features like a Mustang II-style front
end, power steering, power brakes, and front discs. And the upgrade
to a four-speed automatic transmission means highway-friendly
overdrive.
This is the distinct long bed and big back window pickup with some
serious driver appeal. Call today!!!
