Freshly restored, beautifully detailed, and just the right cool
upgrades make this 1967 Volkswagen Beetle one of those high-quality
classics that always attract attention.
This car is fresh from a restoration in Brazil... and when we say
fresh, we mean it looks and feels fresh off the boat. Some of the
best restorations for VWs happen in South America these days (after
all, they got to live with the Beetle even longer than we did!) And
you can really see the difference from the moment this car comes
into view. The Grenada Red is fresh and glossy, and that allows the
sunlight to highlight the smooth lines of the tight-fit body. This
is a '67 Beetle, but aficionados will notice some desirable '66
features, like the larger headlights with the Porsche-style vents
below. And the decklid has the exclusive style that includes the
1300 badge. Beautiful chrome bumpers, clear lenses, tinted glass,
and detailed fender stone guards all prove just how comprehensive
the work was on this one. And you just tell that they paid extra
attention to details where you not only have white wheels and
whitewall tires, but they coordinate with the fresh white body
gaskets, too.
The interior was redone to give you the classic Beetle style but
also integrates the best upgrades. For example, the front bucket
seats have the classic low-back style, but upon closer inspection,
you can see they have better bolstering for all-day comfort. And
there's just something that's always attractive about an upgrade to
fresh ultraleather. Shoulder seatbelts, a tuck and roll parcel
shelf, and full carpeting are all part of this upgraded feeling of
better quality. But with the thin classic steering wheel with
Wolfsburg crest, smooth steel dash, and the vintage VDO gauges
w/separate gas readout all give you that proper vintage VW tingle
that feels like rolling nostalgia.
Part of a complete restoration means the engine bay looks like
day-one, too. Fresh wires, fresh hoses, clean inner walls, and a
tidy setup really let you know this is a newly rebuilt motor. And
the polished fan shroud gives it the right touch of flair. And
because of its freshness, you just know this 1300cc motor fires up
with an eager air-cooled hum that makes these instantly endearing.
These are far from the most powerful motors out there, but it's the
engineering that makes the VW legendary. The rear-mounted block
gives the car good traction, and it doesn't have the power loss
associated with a large driveshaft. Also, you get to make the most
out of this motor with the control of the four-speed manual
transmission.
This is the fresh and beautiful Beetle that has the best vintage
features and quality upgrades. So if you were looking to turn heads
the moment you leave our showroom, this is the one. Call
