This 1985 Chevy K-10 Silverado Short Box Pickup is a beautiful
frame on restored truck that we purchased from Nevada. This truck
spent its life in California and Nevada so it has always been a
rust free truck. In the last year or so this truck was restored an
completely gone through and it is clean and great looking!! We did
not receive receipts for the build, but it is easy to see the
quality of the work gone into this vehicle. nearly everything is
new or rebuilt and the build has only around 3500 miles on it. The
body on this K10 is excellent and it is extremely clean and
straight. When it was restored it was professionally repainted in
its original colors of Light Saddle Metallic and Black. The paint
looks amazing and all of the chrome, trim, and lights are new. When
it was painted the bed of the truck was removed and line-xed and
they added new rubbers and weatherstripping to the truck as well.
The underside is extremely clean and we found no rust or rust
repairs on this truck as you would expect based on the climate it
has lived in.
The interior was also totally redone and looks awesome. It has new
carpet, new seat upholstery, new door panels, new dash pad, new
headliner, and a custom steering wheel. This truck was optioned
with tilt steering, cruise (inop), power windows and locks, AC
which works, and heat. They added a RetroSound stereo and a new
instrument cluster with Digital gauges that look really cool.
Lights, blinkers, wipers, and gauges are working. The horn is inop.
This is a like new looking and really nicely done interior. This
truck has working dual gas tanks with new sending units.
Mechanically this truck is top notch. It has a 350 V8 Crate Engine
that was installed by the previous owner and it runs strong. They
added an Edelbrock Aluminum Intake, Edelbrock Carb, HEI Ignition,
and dual exhaust. Everything on the engine is new or rebuilt and
this includes the alternator, starter, exhaust manifolds, power
steering pump, water pump, radiator, hoses, etc. They also replaced
the AC system. This truck has a 700R4 Automatic Transmission and
according to the last owner was also rebuilt. It shifts nice and is
mated to the np208 Transfer Case which was resealed. The 4WD works
like it should. The rear axle is a Corporate 10 Bolt with 3.73
Gears and the front axle is a Corporate 10 Bolt with 3.73 Gears.
Other new items are Bilstein shocks on all 4 corners and a rebuilt
rear driveshaft. This is all sitting on a new set of GM Rally
Wheels and 31 Inch Cooper Discover AT 3 Tires. This truck would
make a great weekend toy or everyday driver for someone!
