Classics is pleased to offer this gorgeous 1957 Corvette rare fuel
injected 283. Presented in factory correct Cascade Green and White
Coves with Beige interior this stunning example was the recipient
of a recent no expense spared frame-off restoration. This Vette has
been driven less than 600 miles since the completion of the
restoration. The bodywork and paint was done by Troy's Custom Body
amp; Paint in Saint George, Utah and all the work was done to
exceptional standards from the paint, trim, bodywork and chrome.
The tan convertible top is brand new and fits very well. The
original Wonderbar radio is also still in the car and works well.
This Corvette sits on factory correct 15" steel wheels with correct
faux-spinner wheel covers wrapped with new BF Goodrich Silvertown
P205/75/R15 radial tires. The undercarriage is immaculate along
with the engine compartment as well. Under the hood sits the
283/283HP fuelie motors, stamped suffix code F1023EL (fuel
injected/Hi-lift cam/Manual transmission), topped with the factory
correct Rochester 'Ramject' Fuel Injection system. The motor is
linked to a rebuilt factory correct 3-speed synchro-mesh
transmission, which feeds power to a 3.55 rear axle stamped BA.
1957 marked the first year that fuel injection was available on the
Corvette, and 1,040 cars left the factory equipped with the
Rochester Ramjet fuel injection system. Boasting 1 horsepower per
cubic-inch, the 1957 Corvette was nearly race-ready right off the
showroom floor. This is a rare opportunity to own a piece of
