Vehicle Description
This 1950 Oldsmobile 88 Deluxe Club Coupe is one of the most
detailed custom builds you're going to come across. There's shining
flame-kissed paint, an overdrive transmission, a loaded A/C
interior, and an adjustable air ride suspension. And there's plenty
of V8 power under the hood, too. So let's just hope you can get
through reading all of the details before someone else snatches
this one up.
The Olds club coupe has a sporty silhouette like a business coupe,
so it's already a great starting point for some custom car flair.
The red paint is a super-smooth quality application. It looks so
good that they even used it for the bumper, grille, and trim for a
more contemporary style. But that's not even the hottest look on
the exterior. You have awesome flames starting front and center,
and they burn past the headlights and fenders to give this a
terrific street machine look. Frenched headlights, frenched license
plate, shaved door handles, and deleted trim all contribute to this
sleeker look of distinction. And have you seen how the rear bumper
is has been seamlessly added to the form while also incorporating
the brake lights? It really shows you how thoughtful the total
build is.
Pop the remote door openers, and a full custom style awaits you
inside. The full gray package has a stylish look where the smooth
surfaces and the plush inserts live in harmony. You especially see
that on the front bucket seats that are as comfy as your favorite
armchair. And the rear seat is done with the same level of
individual comfort in mind, too. This custom build has the best in
modern upgrades, like power windows, an AM/FM/CD stereo with USB
and Bluetooth, a center console, and cold-blowing air conditioning.
The sports steering wheel is mounted on a tilt column that also
gives you a hint of the exterior's aggressive red. And when you
turn the key, the smooth dash comes to life with digital
readouts.
The engine has the same award-worthy style as the rest of the car.
There are great details, like the smooth inner walls and the
flame-kissed air grabber and valve covers. And speaking of those
covers, the Olds Rocket tag is a great classic piece paying homage
to this coupe's roots. But while this is a nod to the classics, the
powerhouse is quite modern. It's a 350 cubic-inch ZZ4 performance
crate motor. It's supported by the right pieces, like a Be Cool
aluminum radiator, a separate trans cooler, and a serpentine belt
system. The powerful V8 feeds a 700R4 four-speed automatic
transmission on its way through a newer driveshaft to classic Olds
rear end. The tubular arms on the front suspension and ladder bars
on the rear make for an upgraded ride, and you can dial in the
ideal stance with the adjustable air suspension. And this is good
for all-around cruising. The overdrive transmission joins the power
steering, power brakes, front discs, and modern Toyo tires (on
genuine Halibrand wheels) to give you an easy driving feeling for
near or far.
This is a bold custom build made to show off on the local streets
and even join the Power Tour. So if you want a total package
