1974 VW Stationwagon / Kombi Model 2211. Chassis Number (VIN) 2242098711. Also known as Bay Window Microbus with one-piece windshield and sliding side door. Our VW Microbus has had a partial restoration (engine rebuild, transmission replaced, carburetor, and ignition components). This work was done about 30,000 miles ago. and its good running condition. The exterior has been repainted with the classic VW cream color for the top and red, with the intention of retaining the originality of this iconic vehicle. The interior is designed as a camp mobile with fold-down seat for a bed, storage compartments, a folding table and space for an icebox. The interior is original. It has had two owners. We are the second owners and have kept it garaged for the past 31 years, the last ten of which it was not driven while we were living out of the country. It is the perfect sized recreational vehicle. It's primary job was summertime use to drive from the City of Hood River to the beautiful freshwater beaches of the Columbia River.
