-Valencia Blue with Black interior piped White, Black carpeting,
Black convertible top, Restored, 49,000 Miles, 2.5 liter In-line 6
cylinder, 4-speed manual transmission, Wire wheels.
Produced for only one model year, the Michelotti designed TR250,
known as the TR5 in Europe, was very similar to the TR4 sports car,
albeit a 6-cylinder over the previous car's 4-cylinder engine.
While the European TR5 was fitted with Lucas' fuel injection
system, the TR250 utilized twin Zenith-Stromberg carburetors.
Standard equipment included front disc brakes, independent rear
suspension, rack and pinion steering and a four-speed gearbox. Just
over 8,000 TR250s were produced for the US market and is estimated
that less than 600 remain today around the world.
This rare TR250 comes from a large Southern car collection where it
has been sympathetically serviced, maintained and restored when and
where needed. The TR250 runs and drives well. It has recently been
freshly painted and has a well-cared for fresh interior. All body
lines are excellent and shows no signs of any accidents or damage.
It has a very solid shell and drives accordingly with a smooth
ride.
A classic and iconic British roadster, this restored TR250 is ready
for immediate enjoyment and would certainly be a showpiece at any
Triumph event or other vintage car show and would be a wonderful
open top sports car for vintage rallies and tours.
