This Ford F1 has been restored and turned into a drag machine that
is capable of being driven on the street. The project focused on
making it extremely quick, yet docile for the street with the
ability to drive normally and work its way through traffic if
needed.
The rebuild: Paint and trim, 460 cu. in. big block engine, Updated
radiator, New headers, Harwood Fuel cell, 3-speed C6 transmission,
New suspension installed, Mustang 2 front end, Disc brakes at all
corners, Booster pump, Steering pump, Billet Specialties steering
column assembly, All accessory systems (blinker system, horn
system) to make street-able. Vintage airplane style, riveted
aluminum, fixed back seats replace the standard bench set-up.
AutoMeter gauges were installed to help monitor functions of the
F1. Making sure that all the power is getting to the ground, the
bed of the pick up was tubbed and Weld Racing wheels wrapped in
Micky Thompson Sportsman Pro tires measuring a whopping 33x19.5x15
were mounted. Up front matching Weld Racing skinnies were installed
with 26x7.5x15 tires.
This F1 is a combination of dragster performance, restomod updates
and classic styling. Ready for immediate use and enjoyment, this F1
is available for a fraction of its cost to restore and modify.
