For Sale: 1970 Ford Mustang in Concord, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

This 1970 Ford Mustang is a genuine Mach 1 that has been upgraded for the best of vintage and modern. After all, it's hard not to love a sporty V8 coupe with the classic hood shaker and the upgraded control of a five-speed.

Wimbledon White is a terrific pony car color, and so we're always excited to see a factory-made one. This is a good look today thanks to a respray around the early 2000s, and it makes for an ideal finish today when you really love to enjoy these special Mustangs. It's a coupe with a good gloss in the sunshine, but nothing too fancy that will make you nervous about driving it. And this white makes a terrific background for all the high-contrast performance pieces done in black. Up front you see that this Mach 1 puts a mean face forward with a deep chin spoiler, hood stripe with 351 callouts, and an upgraded shaker hood scoop. The Mach 1 dark ribbed rockers look sporty in-between the Mag 500 wheels. And the rear looks great with the rear window slats, Mach 1 stripe, blackout panel, and a full-width rear spoiler. You'll even love the details, like the hood twist locks and wide exhaust tips. It takes what was born a performance pony and presents it with plenty of attitude today.

All the black accenting of the outside gets you ready for the full black interior. All the fundamentals have a great look, including the headliner, door panels, dash, and knit weave seats. But what might just impress you the most are the vintage details. The wood-like trim presents particularly well, the courtesy lights work, and even the AM radio is still cranking out tunes. And this vintage car is still a true driver's coupe. The high-back bucket seats, center console, rim blow steering wheel, and power steering are great stock-style pieces. And they are joined by upgrades like the Hurst shifter and handy tach mounted on the steering column.

The callouts on the hood were not lying, and so you have Ford's mighty 351 cubic-inch V8 powering this pony. It fires up readily as it inhales deeply from a four-barrel carburetor. The upgrade to a five-speed manual transmission is always desirable because it gives you better ratios and an extra gear to enjoy the V8 power to the fullest. And the gearbox was only the beginning of the desirable package. We have receipts from just a few years ago showing thousands $$$$ invested in the right upgrades. The limited-slip rear end, traction bars, and front disc brake additions are part of a commitment to making sure this Mach 1 is a true driver's classic.

The sale comes complete with build receipts, a reproduction window sticker, and the Marti Report. This is the impressive Mach 1 that's made to hit the streets, so get here before it's gone. Call now!
