Vehicle Description
This 1985 Chevrolet K10 Silverado 4x4 is an attractive classic that
offers V8 power and a ton of ability. But with a sharp-looking
two-tone presentation inside and out, there's also style behind the
substance.
We love the beefy/boxy lines of this generation Chevy truck. This
one loves to show them off with a more recent respray of the
correct saddle tan and brown. The two-tone has a modern clearcoat
finish, a nice metallic element, and the kind of depth that gives
it a well-done gloss. Plus, it has plenty of classic American
brightwork with chrome bumpers and rally wheels. The Silverado trim
divides the two colors while also further showing off the quality
of the body. There's even a terrific intimidating attitude with the
aggressive cowl hood and the tall 4x4 stance. But this truck's
lifted nature also reminds you it's built to get the job done. And
The diamond plate bumper and fully lined bed make sure this Chevy
is available for real truck duty.
The interior continues the tasteful and distinct style, as brown
and tan return. In fact, the seat cover, carpeting, and dash pad
all have a quality look of a recent investment. The best Silverados
came loaded with some nice features, like power windows, power
locks, an AM/FM radio, cruise control, and provisions for air
conditioning (it will need servicing to blow cold again.) And
Chevy's dual-spoke steering wheel on a tilt column means a clear
view to the full factory gauge package.
The engine bay has a clean and stock look. The tidiness comes from
an upgrade to a 305 cubic-inch crate V8 later in life. Topped with
a Quadrajet four-barrel carburetor, it has the strong-running
nature you want in a true pickup. The robust motor is a good
pairing with the two-speed 4x4 transfer case for plenty of off-road
ability. And the big investments in newer suspension pieces really
further this confidence. And this is good on the pavement, too.
There are long-haul features like dual fuel tanks and a four-speed
automatic transmission with highway-ready overdrive. Add in power
steering, power brakes, and front discs, and this is a solid any
time driver.
This is the shining vintage 4x4 that's also ready for today's
world. The truck is currently being sold on an Alabama tag receipt.
